Re: Xp awards
No add 10 to whatever you had. I thought everyone was at zero but didn't check.

Re: Xp awards
Is duty a group resource/pool or do we each have our own private stash of it
Re: Xp awards
Both. You get a personal and or a group reward when you reach a contribution level.
Re: Xp awards
+80 xp & +1 contribution rank for boutrouse, Deepspacer and Kanila,
+60 xp for spirtbw, Mrtweedy, and crow.
+60 xp for spirtbw, Mrtweedy, and crow.
Re: Xp awards
Already? Is thete a point at which we should spend it or can we consider that now?
Re: Xp awards
Lol it is only already because you just joined. The other group has gone a couple months with out an xp award. the 80 is for two missions which were right on top of each other. I was going to give the new players full XP until I realized I owed 80. since half is what you got automatically I gave you guys twenty from the remaining 40.
Your characters are a bit of a lull so you can go ahead and spend it if you would like. Or you can wait until after this current mission.

Re: Xp awards
I knew I was forgetting someone. Wook gets the 80 he is one of the veterans.
A contribution rank is what is earned when the groups duty goes over 100. Each contribution rank means that you have made a bigger contribution to your organization in this case the republic. Each time you reach a contribution rank you gain a reward. Either a personal reward or a group reward, the higher the contribution rank the bigger the reward. It can also be held back to call in a favor at a latter time. In a jam and need fleet to send in a fleet... or perhaps a starfighter wing use a saved up favor.

Re: Xp awards
So do we need to be keeping track of our Duty and contribution rank?
Re: Xp awards
@crazybirdman that would be preferable. Most people keep it on their character sheet.
Re: Xp awards
Not even sure how duty and contribution works or what my current level is. Fraud you’re going to have to help me with that.
Re: Xp awards
@Spiritbw for you it is easy you shouldn't have any yet. I'll go over it more when I get the chance, but basically it is a way of measuring g how big of an impact your character has had in the war. The bigger the impact the better the rewards and assistance you can request. Luke in episode four wouldn't have been given a blaster in episode 6 he could have commanded a capital ship.

Re: Xp awards
We all start with Contribution Level = 0. We're low-ranking nobodies. Once we DO something significant, we might gain a rank or two. We become more well-known and have more sway. Contribution Level 1 or 2 may give us a Boost die or two when interacting with fellow soldiers. A measure of respect and renown.
Everyone gets Duty (points) awarded at the end of an adventure. By the book, when everyone's Duty (added together) surpasses 100, then we gain another Contribution Rank. The GM has some latitude with this, and it can vary in the 'how' and 'when'.
'Blast' has Duty: Support. So, while ALL troopers may get 5 Duty at the end of a Session as a standard Duty award, players who do something towards their specified Duty (Support) get some extra Duty points. But the GM may just assume we all fulfilled our duty and all get the same award across the board.
One caveat of Duty, that I don't see done much, is "spending" your Duty to gain a favor or get a bonus to a roll when dealing with chain of command or other allies. You call in a favor but it lowers your status.
