Advice from a seasoned player would be to hold off using your healing spells. You don't know who will be attacked and if they will even take damage. Everyone will be bale to heal some with a short rest.

I would suggest if I were a player that you attack the snake. If you look around you will probably spot in the road just up ahead. DC 7 perception.
I just realized Oomaq is injured too and at 2 HP, but you are right. I will do that.

Okay, Sorry. The whole previous encounter/horse thing threw me off. I thought the piloting riding Animal Handling checks were a reaction to a situation, not a turn we took. I wouldn't have chosen to take the check. Will see what top of the order does. Can delete my post if they take take out the snake before I go.

We still need awarren to go then we will be at the top of the round. But yes perception (not an action) to see the snake then you can attack it. You can still attack if you dont see it but at disadvantage.

Sorry that took a little while guys. I guess I see the snake first then? I edited my post from noticing Gage shout to looking toward where the horses were running from and shouting myself.

We are out of structured time. The horses without riders are running off.

A shirt rest can allow you to heal a bit but takes 30 minutes. If you want to try chasing down the horses you might want to do it first... Unless you are scarex to run into the forest.

In my original post I had said I get off the cart before casting, but I didn't see a reason to and quickly edited my post to say I just casted without moving. You had not posted yet that the horses were running off. If you want to go by what was originally posted that is fine, but if Meddaar and I are still on the cart together we could rush after a horse and one of us could attempt to jump onto it while riding along side. (Oh boy this would hurt if it doesn't work).

Thew’Ruk isn’t going to bother with the snake but instead will spend his next turn again trying to gain control of the stalion.

Could Thew’Ruk also try to catch the war horse again? As it is running off, I have a feeling that it is going to be necessary to save as many horses as possible.

My reasoning is my interpreting the action of catching/grappling the horses by the reigns to be equivalent to an attack and in a normal combat when a potential enemy tries to run away you can have an attack of opportunity, or in this case a grab the reigns of opportunity.

I think only Thew’Ruk is still horses of the ones who weren’t in the cart, and I don’t think I can catch 4 horses. I’ll see what I can do though.

Total: 18
Bonus: 4
Character: Thew’Ruk
Campaign: Temple
Description: Calming the beast 2
1D20= 14
indivdiual rolls: 14
images:Image

This is my roll for the war horse, so I got that one

@kanila I think meddar should be able to use the cart and the horses under his control to loop around the other horses and cut off their retreat, giving their former riders a chance to grab them again.

Yeah, grabbing the reigns is a much better idea than what I suggested. I am an idiot.

I'll let you guys try to catch as many horses as possible.

With the snake dead the horsea will start calming down. A dc ten check will bring the rest under control.

During a short rest 30 min you ca spend a hit die to regain hitpointa equal to the roll + constitution. On a long rest you regain hit dice equal to 1/2 levwl rounded up.

During the short rest can I attempt to look for ingredients for potions?

Not if you take a short rest. You can look while others rest if you want but you wont gain any benefits from the short rest. Such as the ability to heal or any class benefits you may get from a short rest.

Sure you can do that. He can assist or rest, but ill let you use his dc of 10 to find some herbs. If you were by yourself not being a herbalist I would have put it higher at say 13 or 14. You find 1gp worth of herbs at dc and one more gp worth for every 2 points above dc. 12= 2gp 14=3gp 16= 4gp double for a nat 20.
