I like it too, vo's oath will likely just have to do with being a better person for now until he can ic have the chance to connect his predicament with fate and the force. Then when he makes that connection his oath naturally takes on the greater impact as he realizes that this is the way fate has been pushing him since the start of this fiasco.

its actually good rp fodder for him eventually going down the path of a force adherent.

two things,
first since our ship is an executive light transport does the common area have a stocked bar, this will be very important soon
second, I noticed that no one else described their relationship with the loan shark, so I went ahead and made a connection between him and vo to show why we went to him in the first place and established that vo fronted something as collateral for the loan, something he dearly wants back, or will eventually once he accepts his fate.

and one more, i love all the varried motivations, i was worried vo's would be too out there and not dealing with racing enough but glad to see it looks good.

Well as far as having a stocked bar... It probably was before you all got on board! Roll a D10 and you'll have that many bottles leftover of Corellian Ale.

The varied motivations definitely are a plus. Leads more avenues for you to venture down between races.

I kinda left the loan shark vague mainly to allow our GM a way to build him into the story however he wanted. I think Boutrose 's story-line allows for a good starting point as to how the rest of us met him/her/it (just realized how few female loan sharks are in stories).
