Guild Headquarters Discussion
Guild Headquarters Discussion
@DeepSpacer please move your character over to the character thread.
I have set up a force pool tracker and assigned starting force points. I dont like having too small a number so I decided to use four and gave you three to start out with. We could roll if you prefer, but I think this is balanced and will let us get going quickly.

Re: Guild Headquarters Discussion
I found out a short time ago that a player cannot flip the same DP a GM just flipped. All flipping decisions get resolved THEN the one or two points are flipped. None of that, "I'll flip a DS so you can flip a LS back at me" when the pool begins as all DS.
I think four is reasonable, but I prefer to roll them and let The Force decide.
Not remarkably different.

Re: Guild Headquarters Discussion
By all I can tell, I think the head buy was just named 'Boss' and there were no names. Feel free to fill out the npc names and positions. I get the feeling that The Red Death is rather small-time, but has the fearsome name in order to look tougher. However, one opposing gang has decided to encroach on their system/territory, despite the fearsome name.
I think it'd be safe to say that Goran does not travel much off-planet. Probably took one junk, garbage barge transport off Ando and ended up wherever he is now.

Re: Guild Headquarters Discussion
Perhaps these bounties can help pay off some of his Guild Sponsorhip? Maybe 50% to the guild and every 1,000cr knocks a point off his Obligation? (I think Obligation should be free-flowing, something a PC works down and then picks up again.) This Guild does some legit bounty stuff. as well as the illicit.
BTW, I moved the bounty generations out of the IC. Hope you don't mind. I thought maybe you'd do that later, anyways. I'll try to collect Gonan's thoughts with a post.

Re: Guild Headquarters Discussion
We were thinking pretty much the same thing. The guild gets a percentage and it buys down your obligation. You need something from them you gain a bit more. I like that. You were on courosant but I like more custom industrial city. Similar feel but no cannon to mess with.

Re: Guild Headquarters Discussion
Yeah, no Coruscant. Take your time, look around for a good beginning. Ando is near center, upper middle. I see Christophsis, Rodia, Ryloth, geonosis, Tattooine, etc... nearby. Lots to work with!!!swrider wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 12:59 amWe were thinking pretty much the same thing. The guild gets a percentage and it buys down your obligation. Re: Guild Headquarters Discussion
Many good ideas coming to mind. I think I'll settle on the planet of Druckenwell. A corporate world with, basically, a class system and lots of factories and warehouses. 9.3 billion inhabitants, over-crowded, very urban, most of land is developed, lots of oceans, some wetlands. Areas were well-planned and the elite were given better abodes than the working class. Working class versus Intellectual Elite. Gonan doesn't fit into some places and he doesn't like that!

Re: Guild Headquarters Discussion
Do the bodies look like mechanics or mechanic's assistants? {{EDIT}} People who look like they belong here. i.e. workers.
Gonan listens for the answer. He'll wait a second for an answer. After all, they are doing HIS work for him!!
If there's no answer or the person says they do not know, then Goran will storm in.

Re: Guild Headquarters Discussion
That was a hell-of-a-roll at the right time!!! That wasn't looking good! Probably 80/20 that I was going to do down that round.
I am not in great shape and this place is a mess. Not sure if the bike arriving soon will work out well. Probably not worth chasing this goon down. Probably only 60/40% chance I can take him in my given state.
If I stay, then "I" probably look like "I" caused all the damage and the bike guy will run away.

Re: Guild Headquarters Discussion
I think I can get this guy to assist me in turn for letting him go, if he is gracious. If not, I can perhaps Coerce him into helping.
If all else fails, I'll KO this guy, climb to the roof, and jump down on the guy who brings the bike. Flying-cross-body, WWE-style.

Re: Guild Headquarters Discussion
About every other day works better for me, on average. No worries.
Re: Guild Headquarters Discussion
I have updated the destiny point tracker to force the image to reload each time you look at the page. I had fixed this on a number of forums probably two years ago now but did not incorporate the changes into the force pool generator because it is not universal BBC. It uses custom code that I made. So, anyways, now when you click use LS or use DS it should actually update instantly or near instantly. I have set it to 3 DS and 2LS which I belive is one more LS than the last time you posted after using one. Sorry for the error.

I had burnt through those LS DP's during the fight.

Whoa!! I am torn between ambushing this guy recklessly or pretending to be the employee/owner. Sounds like I can play along. .

Re: Guild Headquarters Discussion
I'm wagering this guy does not know everyone here so well. Also wagering he is alone. Trying to imitate a shop guy. The tools and utility tool belt should assist me.
Will coerce this guy into not giving me away. Maybe my mercy and ootimistic words will give me a boost die on this social check? What is his difficulty for Coercion?
Also, if needed, looking the part of a mechanic can be a boost on a potential Deception check? If need be, just give me the difficulty. We can act it out a bit, I can maybe drop the owner name for another Boost. Not sure this is the man Nessle or not.

Hmmm.... I THINK he intends to get his credits now....from me. I may have to do this the hard way. I stimmed back all the way, but don't have any stims left.

Looks like Nessle cannot take an action next turn, but he can take maneuvers.
