Nice work. Your concealment score goes up by one. Since you rolled a 34 and your ship is 30. You rolled higher so you go up by a minimum of one.

You forgot to tell me what Gavin found when searching the shack, just what I found when he searched the first body.

Oh sorry. You took was pretty low so you find some obvious things. There is a lot book on the desk written in German. It contains a time section a number and a description for each entry. If you speak German it is number if personnel, the description says type of vehicle and purpose of travel. There is also a pencil and another notebook, with hand written notes in German. Translation is a challenge and passcode for the day and previous day's. Please let me know of you are not sure what those are. O don't think they will come into play if I am reading your guys plan right.

Sorry for not being around. Life got in the way.
I don't know if we have enough people to continue this game.

Yeah, I reached out to bob and heard back when coronavirus started. He was doing ok but it was affecting his computer accessibility. I have reach out again since, but have not heard back. I just hope he is doing well. I am all for continuing this game if people are interested. The setup for the game was supposed to make it possible for even single player games.

That being said if peopel are interested in discontinuing it, I am fine with that. I have not had as much availability myself and I feel bad keeping games waiting because I have not been able to get on.

I'm fine with just 3B4 and myself, or worst case, alone.

Awesome, then I think we can move forward. On my next post I am going to have the Convoy Arrive. You have statged the bodies and I belive planted the explosives. If there is anything else you want to do before the convoy arrives please let me know. Your objectives are to take out the first truck with explosives and I belive the last (though with only two players we can leave that one to the resistance members if the party would prefer.) My next post will probably be next weekend, but I will try to stop on earlier to answer questions if i am able to.

Let's let the NPCs handle the rear of the convoy.

Dunno. There's pros and cons to either. If we stay inside we may be able to surprise whomever survives and comes inside to investigate. OTOH, if we're outside we can react faster and better to what the Germans do once the ambush takes out their trucks. Inside we're better protected (unless the Germans toss in a potato masher first, in which case we might be fucked), but we may limit our retreat options (unless there are two exterior doors, which I highly doubt as it's shack not a house).

My vote is outside, hidden as best we can. I can't snipe from inside and I don't relish being fragged (which is what I would do in their boots). I've also seen way too many WW2 movies where both the Germans and Americans clear rooms by first tossing in a grenade. It's SOP.

Ok if that is the case go ahead and camoglauge self to determine how well you are able to find a place to blend in or create a place to blend in while you are waiting. Related but not the same is create fighting position. This is used to build an effective fighting position which could help support your weapon, provide cover, etc... but does not include how well that fighting position is hidden. If you werent hiding in the position but building it for latter use concealment would also work, but since you would be in it camoflage self is the better choice.

Spoiler:
Total: 39
Bonus: 30
Character: Gavin
Campaign: Ungentlemanly Warfare
Description: Camouflage Self
3D10= 9
individual rolls: 4, 3, 2

Skill Increase Roll

That's +1 to his skill, IIRC. 39 is well below the average of 46 for 3d10+30.

So I have been thinking vfc or a while and I am changing the way I do games on here. The main problem with play by post is people always waiting on each other. A few years ago I ran a game with only a single player it was easy to resolve e the above problem because we would simple post something g in discussion if time had past. I have decided that I will only run games for a single player for the time being. Players can have more than one character but I'm doing this to get and keep a flow going. As such all of my current games are being disbanded, with caveats, any player in my games can choose to continue. I'll open a new thread and continue forward with their character. This could result in multiple versions of the same game, which I am done with. Please chime in if you would wish to do this or of you would be interested in a new game.

Best wishes all and happy new year.
