Ah, Thanks!!! I searched briefly for an IC post saying so, but didn't find one. Thanks for the correction!

BA has two knuckle based weapons, but other than that nothing out atm.
Alright, so two boosts?

Do you think you could sketch something of where people are, I'm trying to get an idea in my head.

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
The best I can do, eh!! A standard guard is in the opposite hallway in front of the glass and the two black guards and the physician are behind what was the glass. BA can storm through (using a DP) intervening office space and take a short-cut. Otherwise, 2 maneuvers back to speeder, then two again to reach the center of activity.Doctor Who wrote: ↑Tue Sep 29, 2020 2:03 amDo you think you could sketch something of where people are, I'm trying to get an idea in my head.

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
What would be the difficulty of BA pull out his axe and hurling it through the glass into the escaping scientist?

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
I don't believe his weapon was pulled out yet, and it would be at medium range. Lots of the glass has been shot out already, but there's still some left, plus window panes.Doctor Who wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 1:32 amWhat would be the difficulty of BA pull out his axe and hurling it through the glass into the escaping scientist?
My first inclination is that it is using something not for its purpose and similar to an improvised weapon. A 'shovel' is Encum 4 (like the vibroax) and similar in size and shape. Grenades go out to short but I like Shado's rules for extending that. Looks like you have the stats for that. I am a fan of attempting just about anything in the game.
A similar weapon: Voss Warspear, encum 4, Range (Short), Ranged-Light.
- So, you'd use Ranged-Light
- Medium Range.
- Adversary (2)
- +2 Setback dice for improvised usage.
- +1 Setback die for obstructive glass/panes.
- Upgraded once for bodyguard talent.
- Any DP will have already been spent this turn to say there was a direct, short-cut path.

What would be the difficulty to charge through the glass to him?

Your two maneuvers can get you to that hallway, that's it. You can only do two maneuvers in a turn. Next turn, it would be possible to engage.Doctor Who wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 2:08 amWhat would be the difficulty to charge through the glass to him?

I'll try to get a post up tomorrow or later this week, had to work Sunday 'cause another employee had to take their mother to the hospital, so my weekend was kind of thrown off.

It's alright. I just got some fresh ideas for upcoming events while driving around for work today. It's funny when ideas hit you.
Re: OOC: The Holodisk
Totally. Usually for me it's lying in bed late at night trying to go to sleep. Then I've got to grab my phone to make notes.DeepSpacer wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 11:21 pmIt's alright. I just got some fresh ideas for upcoming events while driving around for work today. It's funny when ideas hit you.

I'm really getting sick of BA literally being incapable of doing stuff 50% of the time. lmao.

Grab a tracker from Anjali's backpack and throw it against the shuttle.

Ah, sorry. A trend, is it? I hadn't picked up on that. Nothing intentional on my part.Doctor Who wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 2:50 amI'm really getting sick of BA literally being incapable of doing stuff 50% of the time. lmao.
Quick thinking! Even if it is a bit metagamey. In her semi-unconscious state, Anjali can gesture as such.
With the bigger silhouette, that knocks it down to EASY. Ranged-Light, like throwing a grenade. One maneuver to move from this room to the next.
Also, BA can make the combined check to notice what may lay amongst the debris.

Oh, it's just been funny, not an issue, but I laugh when I roll like 6 dice and then nothing really happens, lol.
Perception check:
Case in point, lol, love the lack of successes every time

BA can still make the ranged-light roll to throw the tracking beacon at the departing ship. With the two Advantages, take an extra Boost die on the throw. We'll say you find a clear path to advance to the next room. (Maneuvers used to retrieve the tracker and move) Also, spend a DP since we're going to distribute XP (it's been a while!) and pause a second. I'll do the same to upgrade it once.
Looks like
We'll either have a clear path to track them or may have to go in a round-about way through detective work.

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
Hi All! I will be away a few days and may get back in by Sunday night. As I said, a small 'break' before pursuing these dastardly foes. We will see how BA's roll goes for the surveillance tagger and what the rescued captives have to say. We will continue the current IC and OOC threads, but this is a good time for XP.
In the meantime, you can consider how you may spend the xp. Just drop an OOC comment on what you added to your character, if you don't mind.

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
No. A Simple Discipline or Cool check recovers strain, but that won't be enough to get Anjali down enough. The book says, "a good rest or a relaxing time". I'd say it is going to take us time, perhaps a 10-15-20 minute rest. If that means staying here or getting to somewhere 'safe', then that'd be up to BA & Monty, at this point.
@Doctor Who
What does BA profess we do? Stay here until Anjali comes around (dealing with whatever that brings)? Or, getting to somewhere safe with Anjali, items we've found, and these three captives (a nearby abandoned building, an apartment, etc...)? I am not saying anything WOULD happen if we stay, but I think it is something the characters would consider.

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
Everyone can make a post-recovery Discipline or Cool check to recover strain. It looks like Anjali has a stash of Stimpacks on her person, if her page is correct. Monty uses one on Anjali and a few on himself (4 altogether).
We retrieved a shot data core and various useful medical tools. If there are any medical devices or tools in there people wished to have found, then ask in OOC and it'll likely be something we now have. It was a bare-bones operation. Nothing but some tools, med-patches, and such. No computers or permanent items or files.

2 Successes, 3 Advantages
