Re: Rugosa Moon OOC
Wook is going to want a bigger gun after this...lol
Maybe he'll take the Heavy Spec.

Re: Rugosa Moon OOC
Deep should go next he will be able to better utilize the boost than Doc.
Plus I'm afraid that this effort might have been for naught as it seems the clones we came to rescue may be dead.

"They died valiantly protecting the ideals of the Republic" is what the politicians will say.
Re: Rugosa Moon OOC
Minions dying is common but it is actually up to the gm so i will allow a single hard medicine check. One is alive for every success. Doubles if you get a triumph.

@swrider What's around us now? And how far off is the next group?
Re: Rugosa Moon OOC
It has a lot of crystaline structutes (plants). The next pod isat long planetary range over a hill.

Re: Rugosa Moon OOC
I'm thinking that if we are going to save more clones, flying may be required. Long in planetary range will take a while to get there otherwise.
I say we leave a couple of clones with the wounded as guards.

Re: Rugosa Moon OOC
That's what I was thinking. It's likely days travel (certainly hours) to go long range - planetary scale. Actually....that's more like a lifetime of travel! Are you sure that's not long-personal scale? We don't have a base to drop the survivors at, nor a safe spot. Scan for enemy forces and leave them somewhere safe.ThreeBFour wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 11:04 pmI'm thinking that if we are going to save more clones, flying may be required. Re: Rugosa Moon OOC
Wooo sorry i meant personañ scale. You spotted a dozen pods with sensor range. Short/ medium.
Re: Rugosa Moon OOC
How many clones are there not including us? Give the pilots the Firspray to shuttle the wounded while we take the ARC?

Re: Rugosa Moon OOC
We ppsted at the same time please see my correction above.
Re: Rugosa Moon OOC
I saw. I still think the ship would be a smart bet. Unless we go on foot and use the ARC as close air support?

Re: Rugosa Moon OOC
sounds good! long personal range is just a few maneuvers. Wook and 1099 have Outdoorsman. +50% overland travel, remove SB die from moving over land.

Re: Rugosa Moon OOC
So the ARC softens them up till we get there and then we kick some more clanker arse. The wounded, walking and otherwise can use the Firespray as a base for the moment.
Re: Rugosa Moon OOC
Here's what I'm thinking:
We beat feet to the next set of escape pods, with the ARC providing support.
Meanwhile the capable clones load the wounded into the firespray and find a defensive position.
That way we have a secured fall back point to send any rescued clones.

Re: Rugosa Moon OOC
Sounds like a plan. I want to remind you guys of a few details.
you say a few groups of droids searching around fro pods. (you have destroyed one) This is not counting the large concentrations of droids which seem to be focused else where. You saw a dozen escape pods. ten remaining from initial scan.
What does that mean. The nearest pods may not be the ones near droids.
Every time the arc moves it needs to make a piloting check. If you have it move with you providing cover to where scanners don't indicate droids you have a lot of unnecessary moves and potential for damage.
The ARC moves at planetary speeds.... it can reach you very quickly.
Food for thought.

Re: Rugosa Moon OOC
Also someone mentioned sending out a signal to have healthy clones meet with you, but no communication was ever sent.
Re: Rugosa Moon OOC
Alright, so get a fresh scan to find the closest escape pod with droids near it.
Have the firespray bring the wounded to a defensive location and give its coordinates to all the escape pods.
If the clones can move have them regroup there. While that is happening we can attempt to rescue the others before making a plan to attack the large group of droids.
Do the scans pickup any clones not near an escape pod?
