Adventure modules string together

#1

Post by Matt Skywalker » Tue Apr 24, 2018 9:58 pm

See title. So, I would like to go from one module to the next. But before reading, i'd like to know, who's interested and which system you want
For EotE I'll start with jewel of Gavin
For AoR I'll start with onslaught at Arda I
For FaR I'll do ghosts of Dathomir
I solemnly swear that I am up to no good

Matt, the beginning adventures for both EotE and AoR have (free) web-published sequels. After that, it's pretty easy to chain other FFG-created adventures. Plus some of the FFG modules themselves provide suggestions for continuing them.

One of the games I inherited, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (EotE), is currently on the sequel to the beginner's module. Beyond the Rim was slated to be the third, but I decided to start that module with a completely different group of players (because, at the time, we had a shortage of games for the new members, which is a recurring problem).

Best wishes! Truly. We will never have enough people willing to GM. Plus, the more GMs, and games, are active on this board, the more new people we draw. It used to be a catch-22. I think, this year, we finally "turned the corner" and have enough "mass" to reasonably attract folks on the FFG board. When it was just Rider and I, it was rough. We now have 7 active GMs, 8 counting yourself, and 10+ games ... most of which are full. That impresses newcomers, and enough happy gamers help to spread the word to yet more players.

I'd like to play if that's an option.

Looks like you got one. Let Shado or I know when you would like us to make the forums. Standard stuff, rule set, number of player, max number of players etc...

Also, if you want either the force tracker like I have in my games set up or the new initiative tracker (in beta testing in the Dark Patron of the Temple of Light game also described and has test one in the republic senate forum) let me know. It requires admin set up initially then can be modified by The GM at any time.

It'll have to be you, Rider. Sorry, bud. I've been working 10-11 hour days (plus weekends), as the department I'm in at work is currently terribly short-staffed. (1 hospitalized, 2 on vacation, and 2 unfilled job slots even if everyone else was present). More people absent/open than we have people actually working (3, counting myself). Good news is that my new employer and fellow workers are happy with me. And I'm getting paid overtime. Which I can certainly use.

I prefer Edge or Age. I'd say if someone else wants to play, they can decide.

There's certainly nothing stopping you from running the EOTE Beginner Game and followup, Matt, but I will note that the AOR Beginner Game and followup would be completely new territory on these forums as far as I know.

For the record, Bob, I ran the AoR beginner and its sequel on this board prior to you joining. It's listed in the hidden Inactive Games forum as "Strike Force Isk". That doesn't mean that someone else here can't run those modules again.

So are you playing?
Just to make sure I don't make any assumptions.

We were discussing what games you might want to run, so sorry if you felt like we were off topic. I can't join at this time, though; sorry.

People are more likely to join once they see the forum created. You may also want to put up an advertising forum on the FFG website or another gaming forum you know of.

I'll create your forums but need some information.
Name of the game
max number of players
rule set (I see you are waiting on crazybirdman for this one).
need to know if you want to use the force tracker at the top like I have in my games.

Never mind, I'll decide,
Name, the blacklist
Max players 5
Rule set: edge of the empire
No thank you for the force tracker

One more I forgot to ask. Some of the games have a restricted GM forum for you to upload notes/images etc... I can set it to be only visible to yourself and the board admins (I cant remove the admins from seeing it). Would you like a forum like that?
