That is between you and BA @Doctor Who . Of course, there may be nothing left after BA goes.

Anjali can go, but BA really took a beating so please make it count
Give me about 5 minutes after a post, I'll probably edit it a bit before it is finalized.
Re: OOC: The Holodisk
Yeah, and Anjali is still high on strain, so she opted not to use Monty's talent.
Re: OOC: The Holodisk
Alright, @DeepSpacer , what's the range to shoot those guys, and difficulty? I'm not sure if it's the same as BA or not.

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
Yep!!!! Their 4 Threats added two and then two boosts passed from Monty.
Re: OOC: The Holodisk
Alright, Maneuver to aim and then action to shoot aaaannnd....
That's a boatload of advantages. It's 10 damage. If it's a Minion Group, then I'd want to do as many crits (3 adv per) needed to thin them out. Otherwise, I'll be looking at regaining strain and passing boosts.
Anjali; Alpha Squad; Ranged attack:
4 Successes, 8 Advantages
1 Advantage(s) added From talents or equipment

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
First time for me playing around with these force powers!!! Looks like a great, cinematic effect!!
Current Situation:
- BA's turn, bottom of the round. Engaged with last remaining for near the doorway.
- TAKE NOTE: a PC goes first at the top of the round.
- Monty is short distance from the three people behind us
- Anjali and BA are both Medium distance from the three people behind us
- All Foes except the force-wielder have +1 Defense from plater armor
- The Force-Wielder has +1 Defense from armor, an additional +1 Melee defense, and Adversary 2 (upgrade incoming attacks twice)
Destiny Pool

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
@DeepSpacer , what mechanics will we be going with for the use of the Move Force Power? I ask because RAW is to spend a FP to successfully disarm an opponent, with a sidebar that PCs and important NPCs should get a chance to oppose it (Force user's Discipline vs Athletics/Discipline/Other). I don't think the conversion of to / is part of that Force power at all, but if we're going to go with that going forward, that would be good to know, as it could impact what Anjali decides to spend XP on.

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
@Flamiel Forgive me if I missed something. Using the powers in play is new for me.
From what I read, the Move power can disarm someone per the power in that tree. As with force powers, you spend pips for extra successes or advantages (unless I missed that this power is different in some way). And yes, the Athletics roll is opposed by it, per the sidebar, which was red-purple, i believe. I read these in FaD, but I will go back and reread once I get home. Misread the text, perhaps I have.

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
Yeah, Force pips can be converted to successes and advantages only if the power specifically says they can; by default they do not. That said, you're still the GM here Maybe flip a DP and say it happens anyway?

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
@Flamiel Sure. Flipping a DP. For the sake of moving on. My philosophy is always to push onward and correct as you go. {{EDIT}} And who is to say that I just don't flip a DP to get and extra green die and get the one net success anyways?

It's probably best if BA doesn't go last this time, but Im open to suggestions. BA needs to get in close with the badguys.
And yeah, a boost to the next PC to act.

Top of the next round. ONE PC goes before the NPC slot.
Anjali and BA at medium range.
Monty at short range to targets.
Current Situation:
- A PC goes first at the top of this round.
- Monty is short distance from the three people behind us
- Anjali and BA are both Medium distance from the three people behind us

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
BA is medium range from the remaining dudes, so that is two maneuvers to get engaged, which means he won't be able to disengage to give a clearer shot for ranged attackers. Monty lost his primary weapon (not sure if he has a backup on his person). Monty could (I think) take two maneuvers to retrieve his weapon, but then he'd be in engaged range with the sith, making it even more difficult to use it. Anjali could advance to short range and shoot at someone.Doctor Who wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 2:42 amIt's probably best if BA doesn't go last this time, but Im open to suggestions. I guess the question is do we want to try and neutralize the sith first or the two escorts? @Doctor Who
We're also slightly outnumbered and outgunned at the moment. Using Destiny Points is probably a good idea.
@DeepSpacer , how close are the remaining 3 to each other? Wondering if grenade blast would be effective.

Alright, BA won't go first, he'll give time to get a shot off before penalties.
Grenade does seem like a good idea.

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
A grenade 'Blast' would catch (I'll be kind) all three of them.....just barely. Two rappelled down on syntheropes and the third leapt down. Don't forget the Boost die passed (+1).
Monty has a backup pistol and grenades (Thanks for the idea!). A concussion grenade, actually. He'd actually go as the 2nd PC so as to get both grenades in before BA gets there.

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
Wait, how would we "get both grenades" in? Does BA have one to throw? Anjali did, but...she left it on the ship. Concussion would be helpful if we can trigger the concussive effect (requires 2 I believe), and Monty probably has the best chance of generating those if he also aims and strains to careful aim (2 extra boosts) and flip DP for upgrade I think.DeepSpacer wrote: ↑Tue Jan 26, 2021 2:13 am

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
Monty carries very little in the way of equipment, which helps with the weapons. You may be right! Only Monty with the grenade. I did not see one on the others sheets. Getting late tonight, so maybe I can resolve the PC and NPC tomorrow evening if that is the way we choose. Yeah, grenade is probably our best shot at this moment.Flamiel wrote: ↑Tue Jan 26, 2021 3:11 am

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
Monty recently purchases 'True Aim', which is a Maneuver. It is for 'ranged' attacks, which grenades count as. Plus, he'll use a DP to try and make it stick.

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
Dang!! Missed on that Grenade attack!! However, the NPC was unable to inflect any damage with his efforts to Move and object. 1 pip needed to activate the power, 1 pip for a sil 1 object the way I read it. (read it, past-tense)
I see on my cheat sheet that 3 Advs can allow a character to ignore the effects of a given terrain, so I figure that it could also (in this situation) CAUSE the opposite effect.
