Alright, flipping a destiny point.
Give me about 5 minutes after a post, I'll probably edit it a bit before it is finalized.

Komorian, did I do something wrong?

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
His sheet says "Soak 6" Defense 0/0. The Heavy Clothing gives soak, the Vest gives Defense 1/1. Just trying to figure which one. Looks like you wear the clothing. I believe that "Enhance: Brawn" increases Soak, too. I think '6 Soak' is correct. Just let me know if that is right.
Re: OOC: The Holodisk
Enhance: Brawn does increase Soak, yes, but does not increase Wound Threshold.

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
Koromandian is Soak 1/Defense 1 I believe.
I just forgot to add defense, and lower the soak by one to 5 (I believe Enhance Brawn does not increase soak).

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
I know!!! Brutal NPC Rolls!!! But, alas, a Despair. I guess it balances those Triumphs.
2 threats rolled by Minion #1
1 threat rolled by Minion #1
IDEAS???
- npc takes strain?
- BA gets boost to next check?
- npc or ally gets Setback Die to next check?
- other?
The Despair can't hit the BBEG because the attack did not hit.
IDEAS???
- npc runs out of ammo?
- Upgrade difficulty of npc or ally next check?
- Upgrade next attack versus that npc?
- Falls Prone? (Would make him more difficult to hit by range, easier to hit with melee.)
- Other?
Destiny Pool

3 LS / 3 DS

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
I'd say we give as many boosts and upgrades to BA as we can from those rolls, and let him go first next round.
Also, the first NPC roll, your comment says 8 *stun* damage, which I think is a typo since the description above said NPC was too far for stun.

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
Thanks. Correct. I first imagined stun damage for all, but then realized stun is only short in most instances.
Buffing up BA? I agree. Anjali can go and then BA first next round.
How about this:
- Despair = upgrade BA's next attack.
- 2 Threats = add a boost to BA's next check.
- 1 Threat = npc takes +1 strain
- (BA will also get anything Anjali can pass along.)
NPC #1 & #2 are the same difficulty for Anjali. Medium Range. +1 Armor Defense.

BA is at 3 strain now too, forgot to note that.

Anjali will aim and shoot at NPC #1, and a boring miss.
Anjali; Alpha Squad; ranged attack on escort:
1 Failure, 0 Advantage

@Doctor Who you've got a bunch of bonuses coming your way, but I'd still flip a DP for an extra.

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
So I have a boost, an upgrade, and flip a destiny point for extra upgrade. Does that mean I can get a sixth die, or not? How does that work, because I already can upgrade my attack twice already, for two strain. Then with that despair, that puts me at upgraded again. Would the Destiny point even do anything?

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
LS 3 / DS 3
Main Adversary is back at normal. (Upgrade 2x's, +2 Melee Def, +1 Ranged Def) Looking closely at the description, 3 Advs (or, in this case, the 3 Threats we used) negates the enemy's defensive bonuses until the 'end of the round'. I thought it was 'until the end of the next turn', but it is end of the round according to FaD CRB.
When you are at all Yellow dice, an upgrade adds a Green die. A subsequent Upgrade turns that Green die into a Yellow. In this case, a 6th Yellow, by my count.Doctor Who wrote: ↑Sun Feb 07, 2021 11:18 pmSo I have a boost, an upgrade, and flip a destiny point for extra upgrade. So BA has a despair dropped on him, and I'd like to trigger a crit and then heal some strain.

Also I took a crit, so I believe the Koromondian vest is gonna break, I'll double check its rules.

It does break, if I remember it right.Doctor Who wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 2:13 amAlso I took a crit, so I believe the Koromondian vest is gonna break, I'll double check its rules.
The Vibro-ax criticals on 2 Adv.
Vibro-ax (+3D, crit 2, Encumbrance 4, 3hps, Pierce 2, Sunder, Vicious 3),
With the other 3 Advs, you could +10% on that Critical with 2 more Advs (That'd be +40%). You can roll the Critical %, 1d100.
The Despair will be Broken Weapon (+1 Setback die until repaired).

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
OK, I'll figure out what I want to roll on the crit here in a sec. Vicious 3 is +30%, but BA also has Lethal Blows 3 (so another +30%)
Guess the crit is worth it, we'll only heal 1 strain and do the other two to add to the crit.
So the roll is 1d100+30+30+10
I got him!

EXCITING!!!! You can narrate IC how this comes down. I narrated the weapons clashing. I don't think I ever got to that high a critical playing SW FFG, GM'ing or playing.Doctor Who wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 3:13 amOK, I'll figure out what I want to roll on the crit here in a sec. Whoa, awesome job finally coming through for us, BA!
The highest I've seen is a poor PC getting his leg torn off.

Henchman #1 running for the door. Ducking behind obstacles as he goes (figurative language, he does not actually move very much with regard for range). Ranged Defense +3. Medium range from everyone. Henchman #2 also at medium range, Defense +1.
Monty and Anjali can go. Anjali should likely shoot for #1, who is making it for the open doorway she was guarding. Medium, +3 Ranged Defense.

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
Actually, this is a situation where we might need Monty's leadership. These guys are fleeing; do we really want to pursue them or take the opportunity to get the heck out of dodge? If the craft that brought them waits for them to return, we should be able to get an ample head start (assumes takes the henchmen time to navigate back to their ship through this port).

Re: OOC: The Holodisk
Lots of options.... take the opportunity to leave, as you said. I prefer it be player-driven decision rather than a GM-PC. It'd be a good time to heal up and remove those chips in the captives. Who's to say that they don't send another ship full of baddies after us? They tracked us here somehow. Perhaps we take their ship and fly it back to the source? Perhaps we capture these men? Starport security can't be far behind (assuming they're legit security....which is a pretty safe assumption). Tactically, it'd be safer to heal up. The aggressive side would be taking it to their source using their shuttle. A compromise could be stopping their retreat and inspecting/searching their shuttle. Up to you all.Flamiel wrote: ↑Tue Feb 09, 2021 4:45 amActually, this is a situation where we might need Monty's leadership. (I forgot for a moment that Monty is at 13/14 WT. Whew!)
Re: OOC: The Holodisk
Yeah, my thought is to give them the impression that we're pursuing, by shooting at them at such, but we should take the opportunity to disengage and heal up/strain down. We can try to discern how they're tracking us, too, during that time. If we can get out into hyperspace, we should be safe momentarily.
Anjali is also going to want to inspect the body of this downed lightsaber user before she leaves, recovering his lightsaber and any other items he might have.
