As you wish!!! I was ACTUALLY going to have a non-conflict encounter with the droid, but rather a conflict encounter with the gangs just to be different. However, sometimes the 'expected' suits the players just fine.

If one wishes to do it, I think that a Streetwise check would be appropriate to reach the gang members.

The war droid has a great Perception skill but terrible reactive abilities. Pretty much a forward-fighting, battlefield droid. GOOD LUCK!!!

I'm just thinking if the Slug Gang claims this area, we'll need to negotiate or fight them once we find a Sith droid. In the scenario I suggested, we save their bacon and don't have to worry about that as much.

I wonder if we hang back at a distance, like behind a pile of junk, and let this these two groups whittle each other down. Then we swoop in and disable it. Did our skiff have any weapons?

I'm trying to understand the mechanical differences between using a regular blaster pistol set to stun and my Electromag Pulse Disruptor. The blaster does one extra damage and adds automatic Image. The disruptor does only ion damage and is only Melee range. Would the disruptor's 2 boost ability come into play here? That adds ImageImage to any check made to sabotage electronics or computers.

Am I correct in thinking that Droids are immune to Stun? The EPD is an 'Ion' weapon. "That adds ImageImage to any check made to sabotage electronics or computers." is correct. But I believe that is for working on electronics or computer. I guess you could work it as a melee weapon that way. I would think that a sabotage check is Computers or Skulduggery. I'd think it requires applying hands to something or try to disable something on a droid, not just damage.

No weapons on the skiff. Magnetic crane, though.

BTW, it is Sil 2, Speed 3, Handling +0, HT 6, SS 8, Armor 0, 0/0 Defense.
The weapons of the war droid 'could' whittle down the skiff. With zero armor, it is basically 60 WT in personal scale terms.

No, stun DOES affect droids and organics the same. Ion weapons only affect droids/machines; they do not affect organics.

PC's turn, for two more of them. Monty took an Action to make a Leadership check to negate the Fear. He could also pilot the skiff somewhere more advantageous. As it is, we are atop a pile of rubble (difficult terrain at medium distance, but has cover). He could, let's say, pilot the ship down to a path at 'ground level' behind the war droid, possibly use Stealth to flank it. Heck....could 'ram it'.

Open to any ideas. Could attack at range from here. Hit it while it is at a disadvantage.

We would still want to keep it intact as much as possible. The gangs need immensely good rolls to penetrate the defenses of the war droid. Still, they could "claim" a share of the spoils should they get a couple more hits in and we both fell the opponent.

Whatever you decide on Monty's maneuver, consider it done and take two PC turns, accordingly. Monty could even "ASSIST" with his maneuver by angling the skiff better and give someone a Boost die. (We never use Assist!)

War droid is at Medium range. Currently 0/0 Defense, but still Adversary 1. Red-Purple.

All of AAA's attacks require her to be a short range. What's our best option to maneuver at least her into that range? Could we still remain elevated and do so?

Sure. Monty can use a maneuver (now) to get to short range by accelerating ship to speed 1. We could be 10-15m above (at an angle) or on ground level. Between of behind the target. He could even 'let you off' on a path somewhere behind the droid. Anything works.

I kind of like the idea of Monty bringing us in close enough to where BA can jump off and AAA can lob grenades. She stays on the skiff, though, in case we need to make a speedy getaway!

It will be hovering just above the ground. About 2m. A simple 'maneuver' to dismount the vehicle.

How many ion or stun grenades do we have among us? I'd say we burn them all here. Switch blasters to stun. Anjali could hand BA the Electromag Pulse Disruptor if he wants to use that in melee.

Looks like Monty (4 ion), BA (1 ion), Alamy (2 ion). The amount of grenades does not appear to be a problem.
