Has the Advantage from the Perception check been used yet? If not, can it go toward a boost die on cracking the safe? Maybe Alamy has encountered this model before. And is opening the safe something BA and Monty can give unskilled assistance on?

+1 Boost on the Advantage. It is more of a mechanical lock (Skulduggery), and quite small. Not a whole lot another person can do, so +1 Boost for a second person.

Looting this guy's stuff is certainly tempting, but I think it would hurt us down the road, right?

As for the ornate necklace, can AAA tell anything about its origins, iconography, potential provenance, etc.?

Necklace: AVG + Setback Knowledge: Education check to determine the approximate value.

Added in boosts for unskilled assistance from Monty and BA. If that's not OK, the roll still succeeds, but there's some Threat to contend with.

BA will totally attempt to help, just waiting to find out IRL what the necklace is.

Any chance we could scan and clone those credentials? Then we wouldn't raise as much suspicion by taking them. I'd say take the credits, though. Maybe the necklace, too.

Interesting idea. I always like the possibility of it. High-risk, though, messing with security clearances. Probably slicing with CCDD (Police ID), CCDDD (Bank ID). Probably easier with a full-blown computer. They wouldn't be secure if it was easy to do.

I think the devil-may-care-student side of Alamy would be tempted to swipe the credits and necklace, but the budding-journalist side would resist it. I think it might complicate things if the captain thought he had been robbed, perhaps making the droid mole we've created be found out faster. That said, if the others would want to swipe the stuff, she wouldn't stand in the way.

It is certainly a PC-call. Not essential either way to the completion of the story. It just makes the story unfold in a different way. The old A-Team was ultra good. Never steal, never kill. Or, steal from the bad, give to the good. But we're slightly different.

Monty probably would leave it, being more concerned with gaining his credibility back than accumulating credits. But, would maybe take the ID if he thought it could help him. If he knew this was ill-gained loot, then he'd maybe give it to the Niktos if he thought it came from them in one way or another.

BA likes bling, but that's too expensive for him to want to just casually take without a plan.

Anjali is a little more gray there. She won't mind either way about the credits.

I am swinging back into the gaming realm it may take a day or two for me to get things rolling on my end. Thank you DS for helping out. Please feel free to continue helping out as I get my other games rolling.

I think we're just wrapping up the break-in. DS has given us some clues, but none of them has been interpreted yet, leaving you to steer things once we get a chance to analyze stuff. I think the only thing left for us to do is to clone the badges we found in the lockbox.

I vote we try doing both. :D

Good question; @swrider, how do you want GM duties to continue for the time being?

@Flamiel I am back, but please continue with all current rolls. DS did an excellent job and I am able to easily pick up where he left off.

Rolls are here. Taking a boost, assuming Alamy is assisting. Both passed, but the Bank ID has 2 threats.

Anjali; Alpha Squad; Computers to slice and clone Police ID:
5 Successes, 0 Advantage

I have been thinking about this and discussing it with DS. I am going to step away form this game and he is taking over as GM. My life is too hectic to keep up with everything here on the board and he has been doing an excellent job. This game seems to Hop GM's form time to time so DS will be the next iteration at least for a while.

It's sad to see you go. It's such a depressing trend with RPGs, life getting in the way.

Good luck with your Master's studying!

@Doctor Who I am not leaving the board just this game and maybe a few others. My presence will just be cut back. It is mostly because of life event but also because I am just getting burnt out and need a break. Also with so many games being run by other people there is not as much of a need for me to run as many as I have been the last few years.

Sorry to see you go, Rider. Glad to see the game will continue, but sad to see you go. But, yeah, rest up and get back to 100%.
