Yep. Did so from the phone. Too many forums threads and small print make it difficult. I re-posted. You can delete the OOC comment.

Once you are ready to go, do a easy piloting planetary check to see if we get some narrative dice to add some excitement.

Re: OOC Game Play Discussion
@trip piloting checks are usually determined by the sill of the vehicle and the speed. I am fine rolling anything but thought I would point it out as it would likely be more difficult that what you gave. Just truing to be completely honest.

Re: OOC Game Play Discussion
Well, it's a bit casual to roll some dice for driving in mundane traffic. Sort of like....rolling to chew one's food well.
But if you could elaborate (summarize) on vehicle checks with regard to sil & spd, that'd be cool (and educational). I went through space piloting checks last night to practice for next week's RL group I am GM'ing.

Gotcha. It is more or less driving through normal traffic. I will read up on that though for next time.

For deep
The difficulty is determined by using 1/2 the sil and the speed. The larger number is the difficulty and the lower the number of upgrades. Handing also add either boost dice or setbacks. So a sil three vehicle moving at speed 1 would be average upgraded one.

I am using the stats from the speeder in No Disintegrations, page 57.
Sil of 3, Speed 3, +1 Handling, HT 14, SS 10
It looks like this with 6 seats.

I used to watch TV for fun. Now I sit at my computer and click the Unread Posts link every minute.

AOR Core Rule book pg 254. It is also in the other core rule books.AOR pg 254 wrote:When making the Piloting check, the difficulty is equal
to the vehicle or starship's current speed or half of its
silhouette (rounded up), whichever is higher. The lower
of the two values indicates how many times the difficulty
of the check is upgraded. So a TIE fighter flying through
an asteroid held at top speed (speed 5) would make a
Piloting check with a Formidable (DDDDD) difficulty.
He would then take half his silhouette (base of
3, divided in half and rounded up to 2) and upgrade the
difficulty of the check by that value. In the end, the poor
TIE pilot has to make a check against DDD and CC .

Incidentally, I have a standing-order, (automatic) "YES" for all requests to move forward in all games with all characters. So, never wait for me and always assume I am ready to go forward. I promise to never complain or request a re-do over something I missed.
