Let me know if I go overboard with Hell Loco. I want his eccentricities to arise but also don't want to call the group any serious problems or annoy the other players. He simply does not see things the way everyone else does.

I know what I did, I "tampered" with the evidence.
I'll go inside and declare it as a crime scene, tell everyone not to leave and go to the third floor

What was the last roll for? I must have missed something.

Ah the team has separated. Is that where the game master says, "I love it when a plan comes together" ?

Probably a Leadership roll. Giving commands to spectators. Should probably label the rolls, but Rider's output takes a bit to figure out and some testing to see what comes out when you cut and paste.

I'm open to suggestions. I just cut and pay the bbcode output and the format is fine. But I don't edit the content usually. The point being is that the roller can be what we want it to be. No point settling.

I'll get an ic response tomorrow.

Lol. Perhaps the death of a team member is what caused us to get arrested?

I've succeeded so far

About that. You need to specify what a roll is for. You are using orokos which does allow you to add a description. Second you shouldn't make assumptions about when the GM wants you to roll for something or what difficulty he will assign. In PBP it is not uncommon for a GM to ask for rolls less frequently than they do in real life games. The difficulties you have been using are most likely incorrect as they would be opposed checks. In a way you are forcing Trip to either ignore your roll or force you to make a roll at the appropriate difficulty for something he was going to hand-wave.

If that was a coercion check it would more than likely be opposed by the NPCs cool which is going to be at least a two with possibly a rank. Then since you are alone, as far as they know, they do not see the thermal detonator meaning you at least have to pull one out of a bag, and you are not acting like a cop by threatening them you would add about two to three setbacks to that roll.

so that brings us up to, using orokos notation, 1eC+1eD+2eS. Making it very unlikely you would actually succeed on that check.

This is Trips game so it will ultimately be his preference, but it is better to wait for a check to be called or ask in the discussion thread what the difficulty and what skill to use before rolling.

Sorry, I'm not used to pbp. The last check was easy. So I just did that

Its all good. Play by post is a whole different beast than live gaming. It takes a while to get used to.

Charm gets an opposed check of Cool.
Coercion is discipline. The two bad guys have 1 presence which made the cool check fine. But when you threaten them, their discipline (2 willpower) kicked in. You need to roll 1 more purple and 2 setbacks as Rider said. And you get 1 Conflict point for the threat.

They are minions BTW.

I figured an Easy check was in order plus a SB die for the situation for any kind of Fear people may be feeling. People scattered, at first, but now that shiny lights arrived, they're probably getting back to where they came from.

I hope that the Triumph is a witness of some sort.
I wasn't sure if the Dev was a mask or not.

Cool is the right check for both. Vigilance is used if one side is caught off guard. Since this was a gradual escalation cool makes sense.
