In a nearby landing bay, several cloaked figures depart from a landing craft. One of them pauses at the bottom of the ramp. The figure raises a small dais in his hand and a small, blue, holographic image appears from it.

“Yes, Master.”

“Have you tracked down the interlopers?”

“I have.”

“Gooood, goood. Such security breaches cannot be tolerated. I leave this up to you, Kor'al. DO NOT FAIL ME!!”




“Sirs, the ship we have been tracking appears to be landing at THIS port facility. They are landing on a level ABOVE us.” ques in Caspo over the group comlink frequency.

This tower spaceport has a cascading number of landing terraces, most of which are for local traffic with the upper ones for interspace travelers. With our supposed adversaries landing a platform above us, the next two minutes tick by. CAS-PO tries to scan from below, both by computer and visually (manually) from The Vandura. He raises the entry apparatus to the ship, as requested.

Somewhere above, a dark, cloaked figure concentrates. With his eyes closed, he tries to extend his senses into the beyond, but his control of the force is lacking for what he desires. 'THIS SHOULD COME EASIER....' he thinks. 'I MASTER THE FORCE, IT DOES NOT MASTER ME!! IT GOES WHERE I COMMAND IT TO GO!!'

He is tempted. He SENSES that the Force awaits his command, if only he would find peace …...just for a moment.

“NO!!!! PEACE IS A LIE!!! THERE IS ONLY PASSION!!!”
he says aloud as he breaks his concentration. He commands his thoughts to align with his training, 'PASSION! STRENGTH! POWER! VICTORY! THIS IS THE WAY!

Less than satisfied with his results, but resolved to be victorious, he presses onward. “The others will have begun. We will go now.” he says to two minions behind him. The dark figure knows that he could not reach the others to inform them, to give them the vision of events as he sees them unfolding. Those allies will proceed without his assistance, yet he is sure their training will lead them to obey without question.

"VICTORY AWAITS US!!!"

There is a sound at the door leading to the public hall beyond the hangar. Someone on the other side is manipulating the door controls.

“Here they come!” shouts Monty from some ways back (medium range).

The door quickly slides back and forth a few inches, hesitating slightly, before sliding completely open. Three dark humanoid figures enter the door with blasters drawn! The fourth pulls back a device from the door controls and follows them inside.

They make a quick rush into the hangar and spot the lurking Nikto hiding in the shadows.

Dark, cloaked figures stream into the doorway shooting blaster pistols with sound dampening extensions on them. After shooting at BA, who is on the side of them, they take a hail of readied blaster fire from Anjali. Again and again the toughened minions take bolts of blaster fire. Only one comes through the barrage still standing on his feet.

That's a boatload of advantages. It's 10 damage. If it's a Minion Group, then I'd want to do as many crits (3 adv per) needed to thin them out. Otherwise, I'll be looking at regaining strain and passing boosts.

At this point, Anjali notice an approach of foes FROM THE BACK!!! Behind us, where the ship is! Two human men outside the hanger have rappelled down from the hangar ledge above us using a black syntherope and rappelling gear. Each lands on their feet and draws a heavy blaster pistol with blast suppressors (silencers).

A third individual lands on the ground between the two men with an audible, “Umpfff” (1 Threat = strain). He simply JUMPED down from above!!! A human male in dark robes with yellowish eyes. He has plated armor underneath his robe as the other two have. He draws a red lasersword (lightsaber) and ignites it!! (+2 Additonal strain)

The man in the middle straightens up and extends his empty hand in the direction of the Commander. The modded-up blaster rifle he was covering the others with slips from his grasp! Yet, the weapon sling is still wrapped around his arm (2 failures on those setback dice given for the strap) and the rifle hovers in mid-air for just a split second. It is then when the man's eyes flare a brighter, deeper, malevolent yellow (using DS pips) causing the strap to give way and the rifle FLIES over to land at the mysterious man's feet!!!

BA swings his vibroaxe directly at the remaining person next to him. Better to clean up one side than to have people attacking from both directions.

With a violent, diagonal slash from the enemy's shoulder down to his hip, the last entrant falls. It appears, for now, that no one else is coming through the front door. But, perhaps, the momentary distraction has worked and there are now three persons behind us!

Monty pulls from his military training to take quick action. With his extensive training in ranged weaponry, he uses all his skill to place a concussion grenade exactly where he needs it to be.

As the grenade flies towards its opponent, the lead villain deflects the grenade off his armored forearm plating (Defense 1) so that it lands slightly behind him. The blast encompasses goes off and the main villain is encompassed in choking smoke for a brief moment (2 adv for a Setback die to him).

The villainous figure with a lasersword reaches towards a medium-sized durasteel crate on the north side of the hangar with his open left hand. He SLINGS his left hand violently back across his body, trying to throw the object with his willpower across the open space into Monty Peppard!!!!

The durasteel crate, sitting on top of another crate, does not fly across the room. He KNOWS that if he ONLY were to calm himself, be at peace, that he could easily throw this crate across the hangar. BUT NO!!! 'I will NOT give into the LIE!! PEACE IS A LIE!!! he thinks to himself. Self-doubt begins to cloud his mind as the Force refuses to come under his control. The best he can do on his own efforts is to topple the crate onto the floor.

A two-meter sized durasteel crate falls to the floor, dislodging its lid. It spills its contents across the center of the floor (3 Adv). Nuts, bolts, wrenches, hydrospanners, scrap parts, wires, connectors of all kinds.....

The main rivals two companions each return ranged fire, one at Anjali and one at Monty. Rival #1 returns fire at Anjali with some success (8D) with a heavy BP. He then takes cover to the side behind some crates (2 Adv = free maneuver).

The adversary rejoices (momentarily) at his successful strike, only to unsettle himself on the crate which he is standing. He wobbles unsteadily, losing some composure (+1 Strain) and loses all defensive bonuses for a turn (3 Threats).

The cloaked figure is taken by surprise (no defense this round) as he is hit from the side by the burly Nikto. He is barely able to get his lightsaber around in time to parry a small part of the crushing blow. The portion of the blow getting past the lightsaber leaves a large gash down the side of the man's torso. It bleeds profusely. His demeanor goes from triumphantly-confident to that of grave concern!!
