"My mother rwas Bathira A'Culea. Best astrogator in the galaxy. At least she was... till she crashed into a dwarf planet. Always seemed odd to me -- not the kind of thing that would happen to a pro. But my dad never let me prod into the circumstances. But then he was also the one who set me on your trail. So I'm beginning to think there's something there..."

"MY TRAIL????" he says incredulously! "Baseless accusations." the General says coolly. "However tragic your mother's death was, I knew NOTHING about it. Astrogators have a perilous life. The BEST ONES always push the limits of what is possible in a starship. Sometimes to their own demise, sadly enough. They are remembered mostly for their boldness."

"Alamy, is it? Your interest may be served BEST by first clearing your name, and THEN pursuing the circumstance surrounding your mother's death."

Anjali shuffled forward, staying behind Alamy, and tugs her sleeve a little to try to warn her to back off a bit.

AAA takes a deep breath. "Well, I guess we can agree not to put the chariot before the eopie. Why don't you tell us what you've called us here for?"

"We each have a need , Alamy. You, the A-Squad, can't show you faces in civilized society due to your convicted and fugitive status hanging over your heads. Sure, I could persuade officials to see your actions in a different light out of my own goodwill, but then I might get a nasty reputation as a "nice guy".

"Such persuasion costs credits...and favors from the right people in the right places. I want a service performed for me, in return. I will moderately compensate you for beyond clearing your names. Local mercenaries want far too high a price for this endeavor. So, perhaps you think you are being treated unfairly? Would you like to re-negotiate the terms???"

"No, no. I meant to say that my colleagues and I have a few questions about the particulars of this little... task."

"So what ya sayin' is that we gotta find of these droids, preferably intact, an' bring it back. Do you know anything about the gangs or whatever we might encounter in our descent? Any turfs we should know about?"
Give me about 5 minutes after a post, I'll probably edit it a bit before it is finalized.

"Do you know so little of Coruscant?" he asks, incredulously! "Coruscant's underworld toughens the strong and consumes the weak. Some of the dangerous sectors are sealed off by giant blast doors. I don't know what sectors lay below the Kizer Rift. The rift goes deep into the undersector. No doubt some underworld gang lays claim to the territory, but those gangs don't have reputations that extend this far."

"An expedition into that rift will be adventurous, no doubt!!! But, "no risk", "no reward!" Just be ready for a fight over whatever you find down there."

BA cracks a slight grin. "Unknown foes, a chance for exoneration, and no backup. Sounds like a good time."

"Uh, so what are the chances that the Sith want their little droids back?" Alamy asks, eyebrow raised. "Gangs are one thing. Lightning-shooting Sith Lords are another."

"How will they KNOW there is a droid to be gotten back? These droids fell into an abyss and were deemed "lost" in combat."

"...and besides, we have a Treaty! There are no Sith occupying Coruscant at the moment."

"So I'll take this as "A Yes"??? We both stand to gain greatly from this endeavor."

Anjali has her arms crossed in the back, but she gives a slight nod to the others.
