The human female with pink streaks in her hair smiles quaintly, as if she just cleverly beat an opponent in a game of Sabacc. She turns to the human male an quips, "BEAT IT, NOBE!"

Turning back to us, she returns to a polite and gentle voice. "This way!" she says as she walks deeper into the sector. The one called Nobe stands at a distance and watches.

"So, are you off-worlders???" she asks. "Or are you residents here that are wise enough to walk around armed? And why THIS cantina?"

AAA glances at the others. "So many questions! We're all from here. Or at least we've all spent a lot of time on Coruscant. We've just been away a while." She shrugs. "We're meeting someone at the cantina. What's the deal with your friend back there?"

Kassandra makes chit-chat for a while. Innocuous questions, really. Deeper into the undercity, things do not change much. It is dark, grimy, and in some places....desolate. The sound of moving machinery is always in the background, as is the sound of normal daily activity on a densely-populated planet. Around corners, through passages, up a little, down a little, ......

At some point, Kassandra picks up her pace, making somewhat of a dash. She creates some space between herself and the ones following.

Anjali, Alamy, Monty, & Sai all notice shadowy figures approaching from (seemingly) all directions. Several in each direction (effectively a four-way intersection). Kassandra lets out a shriek as she notices the same. Her surprise seems very sincere. "Oh no! Trouble!" She reaches (maneuver) to her waist to retrieve a wonderfully concealed Lt Blaster Pistol.

"Watch out Kassandra!" replies Monty. The unknown assailants pull out short ropes with rounds balls on them. You suspect they are used for beating or entangling, perhaps like a chain would be used.

Anjali reaches into her backpack and pulls out her fusion cutter. It feels good in her hand - such a trusty tool, and a useful weapon in a pinch. If these idiots get too close, they're in for some pain. She draws a deep breath in and feels her strength increase as she focuses on the thugs.

BA storms towards the southern group.

"Are we really gonna do this?" he says with a grin.

[BA will suffer two strain to upgrade his attack twice]

BA swings his right fist at one of the grunts, and his left fist at the other, hoping to deck them both.

Kassandra fumbles around retrieving her concealed weapon from it's holster and drops a snub-nose hold-out blasteron the ground (Despair). "NERF!!! she exclaims!

Sai turns around to confront the thugs who stepped in from behind. He runs towards them and begins to take a flurry of swings! At first glance, there were two figures, but they seem to travel in single-file to hide their numbers. The two become four. ;) Sai's attack catches them off-guard since ordinary victims are not so emboldened. While still engaged, they try to unleash their unusual weapons of choice on Sai.

The ball & rope weapons wrap around Sai's legs and arms, but fail to immobilize him. They do, however, hinder him slightly (+2 SB dice to his next action = 4 Adv's spent).

After they throw their bolas, they use a maneuver to pull out metal pipes (+1 Melee Defense).

The North, East and West groups raise the roped-n-ball things above their heads and whirl them in a spinning motion. They aim and hurl them at Anjali, Alamy, & Monty.

Anjali is struck similar to Sai (BA). The bolas wrap around here, but fail to bring her down or immobilize her. Instead, they cause her to shake them off before acting again (+1 SB to her next action = 2 Adv spent).

Monty is also hit by some bolas, ensnaring his arms and legs. He'll have difficulty assisting Alamy as he cannot perform Maneuvers at this time. However, his Triumph on initiative allowed him the free maneuver to get his weapon drawn.

Monty is ensnared, but has his weapon in-hand thanks to his quick reflexes. He sets to stun and turns east to fire at short range. Two of the four assailants fall motionless.

"Get them you fools!!!" shouts the dark-haired woman who calls herself Kassandra. "Nobe was sore he missed out on four marks! Bounties just went up to 150 credits per head!" With that she picks up her pistol and stuns Anjali at short range.

Alamy kicks the bola chain from her boot as she draws her blaster pistol. Her face takes on a sincere look. "I'm not sure who I want to shoot more—the guy who threw that, or the witch who brought us here!" She chooses the guy who threw it.

BA sighs and decides to be more methodical about his attacks.

He swings his vibroknuckled fist at the guy who tried to entangle him. He grunts again, putting all his effort into the attack.

Monty has a difficult time being immobilized and faced with several pipe-wielding opponents. Still, he presses onward to shoot his rifle in melee while he's bound. The two closest to him are struck down.

With his weapon shot out of his hand by the devious Kassandra, Monty instead tries to free himself from the bolas while encouraging his troops to fight on. (He'll be free of the entanglement next round.)
