"Shoot zem, shoot zem both!!!" commands the Lannik with tufts of dark black hair. His reckless disregard for life causes BA to reconsider his actions (BA suffers a total of +3 Strain and has +1 Setback die to all actions for Two Rounds)

The Dressillian pulls out a slightly modified, carbine blaster from under his trench coat. An Accelerated Charged Particle (ACP) Repeater Gun, which are popular with criminals for their ability to spray an area with a heavy array of charged particles.

The Dressillian aims at the entwined Greckel & BA and fires!!!

Unknown to anyone (expect maybe Greckel), the bad guy & henchman would actually like Cpt. Greckel alive, but showing a reckless disregard for his life is a sadistic style of intimidation. Note, I said they "would like" him alive, not "need" him alive. :twisted: The Dressillian is actually aiming for the big Nikto (BA) first and the other male present (Monty), but no one really knows that for sure. It causes an Upgrade to the attack and a Despair causes Greckel to be hit.

"Oh kriff." Alamy dives behind a ferracrete pillar and pulls out her blaster pistol, setting it for stun. She focuses on the Dressellian's nasty-looking weapon. Primitive guy like that probably won't like it much when his gun disappears...

Focusing on what the Nuns of Devaron taught her, she pulls on the goddess's power to shroud the gun from the Dressellian's senses.

That's a maneuver to take cover, a second maneuver to draw weapon (2 Strain), an incidental to set for stun. Then action = use the Misdirect power on the Dressellian in the hopes that his gun disappearing from his perception will prevent him from attacking next round as his primitive nature takes over, either freaking him out (fright check?), confusing him, or making it very difficult to fire (since he can't feel the gun, let alone see it).

The Dressillian looks down at his ACP Repeater Gun with an astonished look on his face. We know not what that means (except Alamy). He seem to panic for as second as if about to run. But, he steels his nerves just enough to stand his ground.

Monty takes the opportunity to draw his Blaster Pistol and level it at the wild-shooting Dressillian.

Monty sprays the scene with blaster bolts and the combined confusion of Alamy's mental illusion and Monty's blaster bolts (3 Adv's: disarm) causes the Dressillian to drop his weapon in front of him. "Don't let him go!" he says to BA.(+1 Boost to BA's next action)

Cpt. Greckel struggles to twist out of BA's grasp...and DOES!!! He breaks free and separates slightly from BA (3 Successes) but can manage little else. He stumbles over to a concrete wall and braces himself against it, sucking wind from that last assault and the appalling behavior of the Dressillian.

Greckel staggers from the weight of the blow! {{Nice roll!}} He flies backwards and slams against the concrete wall. Lifting his weapon, relying on his military training to stay steady, he manages to fire off a shot against the beastly Nikto brutalizing him. His fire give the Nikto an uneasiness on his next attack.

The sinister-looking Lannik is shot in the gut and grips his side in pain. He appears shocked that he was harmed, trusting in his hulking bodyguard to ward off incoming attacks.

Seeing his boss gravely wounded (and without a weapon that he can see), the Dressillian pulls out a stimpack from under his cloak and applies to the Lannik (reducing wounds by 5).

AAA runs toward the dropped gun. As she approaches, she drops into a sports slide, kicking the gun away and sliding out of reach of the Dressellian.

Enraged at this intrusion from these strangers, the Lannik returns fire on Monty (who narrowly missed hitting the Lannik last round). He uses a blaster pistol with a laser sight and wounds Monty in the thigh, causing him great discomfort (no free maneuvers for the encounter).

Monty is hamstrung, but manages to side step some incoming fire and shoot back at the adversary immediately threatening him (the Lannik). His blast strikes the Lannik in the upper chest to devastating effect!!! However, it is the only shot Monty gets off due to his Heavy BP running out of ammo, a common defect that accompanies a weapon with such increased firepower. "Oh, crap!!!"

Greckel is hit in the chest with the stun bolt. His eyes suddenly widen and then he slumps down to the ground in a seated position, back against the wall....unconscious. The stun wave also hits a parked landspeeder nearby and causes it to release a repulsorlift wave. The temporary gravity fluctuation upgrades the next enemy's check once.

Th Dressillian, meanwhile, sees his precious ACP Repeater appear at his feet just as the thin Devaronian kicks it away. He uses his turn to rush over (maneuver) to where the gun lays and pick it up (maneuver). He hurriedly checks it over, cocks the repeating adjustment, shifts the module to ensure it is in place, and... (waits until the next NPC slot to fire since he's only a Rival and cannot do a 3rd action in a round).

Angrily, he thinks to himself...
"I'm going to light up this garage like a rocket bomb display in the sky!!!"

The blaster bolt from Anjali's pistol enters the Lannik in the chest and exits out the center of the back, and then into the concrete wall. The Lannik's ears droop down to the side and his eyes roll back into his head as his lifeless corpse collapses to the ground.

AAA once again appeals to the Dressellian's superstition: "You dare defy us? Our magic gives us powers you've never dreamed of!" She focuses on BA and tries to make him disappear from the enemy's perceptions.

The Nikto is suddenly erased from the Dressellian's point of view. She aims the next comment at BA: "The Nikto has disappeared from your senses! Surrender or face more of our magic!"

The sudden disappearance (in his mind) of the Nikto causes him some consternation as he looks around frantically for where the being went. Causing him some strain, he resolves that it is even more important to deal with these magic-wielding opponents that it was seconds ago. They have not harmed me! They cannot harm me with their magics! I will harm them!!! he thinks to himself as he steadies the repeater.
