Re: Guild Headquarters Discussion
Three individuals. They'd probably hear the speeder overhead once I came closer. I have to decide whether to land on top of then, ram them, strafe them, or land ahead and cut them off.
I think if I started them they'd duck into a building. But, I think I will strafe them, nonetheless. Perhaps take out a henchman or two.
What's my difficulty between flying in and shooting from a moving vehicle? Range Medium, I suppose, to begin with.

Re: Guild Headquarters Discussion
Make a piloting check. If successful your difficulty can be average. If not the difficulty is hard upgraded once. Advantages, threats, dispairs and triumphs from the piloting check may also apply.

Re: Guild Headquarters Discussion
What kind of building did they duck into? I think I will make another strafing run so the guys inside don't dart outside again. I am considering flying the bike through a skylight or large window on the next round to get at the guys inside. I would "shoot zhe glass" before entering. Consider the difficulty for that. I'll flip a DP next round to make such a large window exist on the said building.

A little Die Hard reference there! I think flying through a shot-out window could maybe be an upgrade? Sort of like walking across a beam using Coordination. Always a chance to go off the edge.
In the back of my mind I am thinking of either ramming some guys or jumping off my bike onto them.

Re: Guild Headquarters Discussion
I missed my attack. I don't suppose the guard goes down unless he's faking it. I MADE the piloting check to strafe on the second run, but failed the subsequent attack.
Looking to shoot through the window and ride the bike inside!!!

Re: Guild Headquarters Discussion
a piloting check for the maneuver would be sufficient. It is easy to shoot what is directly in front of you. flying through the window on the other hand is another matter. I thought I had posted this sooner sorry for the delay.

Re: Guild Headquarters Discussion
Good opportunity to spend the DP. Obstacles inside the building make lots of sense. Only about a 35% to make that check.
I'll say it is a high-ceiling warehouse with some interior second-level scaffolding. About 50% of the space has a level-two portion to it, with the rest being open tot he ceiling.

Somehow I rolled PPR instead of RRP. Swap out a purple for this Red and it isn't much different. Minus a Failure for 2 Threats? Or, just add two threats?

Re: Guild Headquarters Discussion
So, two guards down and two guard up pointing a weapon at me?
They took two maneuvers to double aim, then? My turn?
Well, Gonan will fight back, of course. Hopefully I can survive the shot or shots.
LS 1 / DS 4
{{EDIT: He's going to go back and look for that pistol when this is all done.}}

We will just call it even, I like the way this is shaping up and I still think you will come out with minimal damage. More heroic to fight them off and capture him without your weapon. At least they arnt running any more.DeepSpacer wrote: ↑Sun Jun 06, 2021 11:56 pmSomehow I rolled PPR instead of RRP. Swap out a purple for this Red and it isn't much different. Re: Guild Headquarters Discussion
Delays happen. I am excited in A-Squad to take them to Dxun and in Uprising to see if Hell and Vesper can get the signal out!!
At least that critical (70%) didn't stop me from using maneuvers!! That'd have been worse, at this point. Swinging two-handed style is worth the risk at the moment and %-wise, the more damage, I think.

Re: Guild Headquarters Discussion
I take that back..... He'd get a boost to attack people in Engaged with Ranged Weapons.
FYI, Gonan has only padded armor, +2 Soak. He currently has Ranged Defense +1 for the piece of crate he just [picked up (Taking Cover).

Re: Guild Headquarters Discussion
No objection to the crate lid being blown up. Makes sense narratively. Very cinematic.
2 Threats on the attack roll.
- opponent gets free maneuver?
- Setback to Gonan's next check?
- Boost die to opponent's next check?
- +2 Strain?
- other?
