Reverb in Blue (OOC)
Re: Reverb in Blue (OOC)
Looks like it's @Boutrose Saba-Norr or @DeepSpacer, both with a
pool. Raysel would have the same pool, but I'm hesitant to have the NPCs take the lead on things unless asked to do so.
ETA: Looks like Rider may be playing with the image code? is supposed to be a yellow.

Re: Reverb in Blue (OOC)
JB is a YGG Perception. She'll make the roll IC.
Re: Reverb in Blue (OOC)
Nice roll! You get 1 more Success, actually, since Jessa ignores the arid conditions as a Twi'lek. Any requests for the Advantages?

Re: Reverb in Blue (OOC)
4 Advantage is pretty significant, more than 40 credits, but not quite enough for a contact. I was going to suggest some additional clues, but if you want money, let's say Jessa finds a 100-cred chit on the ground.DeepSpacer wrote: ↑Tue Nov 20, 2018 4:05 amIDK....find 40 credits on the ground? Re: Reverb in Blue (OOC)
@DeepSpacer, Jessa can slip past the guard with an opposed Coordination-vs.-Brawl check (no damage dealt on a failure; Brawl just represents his ability to grapple). Difficulty is , plus because he's fixated on the droids.
Hmm. Seems Rider is playing with the image paths of the dice symbols. That's RPP plus Boost Boost.

Re: Reverb in Blue (OOC)
I'm not normally one to start something, but I like rolling dice and Jessa's curiosity is aroused and she wants to see inside! She doesn't like being told, "No."SavageBob wrote: ↑Wed Nov 21, 2018 5:45 pm@DeepSpacer, Jessa can slip past the guard with an opposed Coordination-vs.-Brawl check (no damage dealt on a failure; Brawl just represents his ability to grapple). AH-HA!!! two advantages for something based on what she sees (or has to react to).

Re: Reverb in Blue (OOC)
I can't see the image for the last NPC added either.
Re: Reverb in Blue (OOC)
Yeah, broken link for me.
Also trying to intimidate the guy, part because yes he is mad, part because he wants to draw attention from Jessa.

Re: Reverb in Blue (OOC)
Are y'all getting a broken link, or do you see a silhouette with a question mark in the middle? I was leaving the portrait a mystery at first, since you couldn't see who was speaking quite yet.
So, Meshel can try Coercion vs. (2 setbacks for his buddies, 1 because Jessa just slipped past, so he's annoyed).

Re: Reverb in Blue (OOC)
So, Jessa feels compelled to stop thanks to the guards' successful Coercion. She'll suffer 2 setbacks on any further checks in this scene. She can overcome these effects with an easy Discipline check with 2 setbacks (for the guards' rolled advantage). (Always tricky with social checks versus PCs, but the game is set up to call for them from time to time...)
Pending the results of Meshel's Coercion check, the guards may ease off.

Broken link. Little broken picture icon in the upper left.
Meshel; Hyperspace Echoes ; Intimidate attempt:
5 Successes, 3 Threats
Erm, possible to be to successful and I just earned a grudge?

or I’m going to regret going for the knuckles first.
Re: Reverb in Blue (OOC)
Hopefully the mystery profile is fixed. I think it was linking to a stock photo site before, and they may have some sort of protections against direct linking to their images.Spiritbw wrote: ↑Thu Nov 22, 2018 2:38 am

So, the first guy is coerced into being polite, but without advantages, the other two are still hostile. For the Threat, the first guy is taking Meshel's order seriously and responding with obvious sarcastic obfuscation.

Re: Reverb in Blue (OOC)
No problem. Didn't make it anyways. Interesting way to use Coercion. I always thought Coercion (and Intimidate in PF/D&D) were not too effective. I am happy to learn something new!SavageBob wrote: ↑Thu Nov 22, 2018 2:35 amSo, Jessa feels compelled to stop thanks to the guards' successful Coercion. Looks like that's diffused the situation.
If anyone wants to try to identify what species these guys are, they can try a Hard Knowledge (Core Worlds) or (Xenology) check with .

Think he just ment they were the same species as the boy you knew.Boutrose Saba-Norr wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 9:08 amhey bob you didn't say which one of the boys that gheise and rayzel recognized
Re: Reverb in Blue (OOC)
Spirit's right: You recognize the species because you once knew an orphan of the same species. Not one of these three specifically, though. The same goes for Jessa: She knew a troupe of this species, but these guys are not the same individuals she knew.Boutrose Saba-Norr wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 9:08 amhey bob you didn't say which one of the boys that gheise and rayzel recognized
(In general, I'm narrativizing the results of the Knowledge checks while revealing potentially useful information through this narration. Geise knows that this is a species that sometimes gets trafficked by slavers, for instance. Jessa knows that this species is musical and can send secret signals with their lit-up mouths. Etc., etc.)

Re: Reverb in Blue (OOC)
Trying to convince the Nosaurians that the oil man was selling your droids is going to be an Average Deception check with for the fact that one of them likes Jessa, and for BD-BD helping to corroborate the story (despite Jessa's betrayal! ). Also for the one that dislikes Meshel, and for the fact that they're not really used to people coming to look for lost droids.
One more potential on the table if someone can post IC how they're helping convince the Nosaurians.
(On a side note: Geise and Jessa both have cultural etiquette manuals, but neither specifies what culture they're for. I'd like you to declare what they're for now-ish. Being in the Corellian sector means you're more likely to encounter species and cultures from there: Corellian Humans, Nubian Humans, Nosaurians, Drall, Selonians, Corraguts, Govians. Beyond that, Core Worlds species are likely. However, if you make your manual pertain to something off-the-wall, like Bith or Pau'ans, I'll try to work something in where it will come in handy! One final possibility: Leave the manual undeclared for now and then make it pertinent with a DP flip down the road.)
