VERY COOL INTRO!!!
Much like the original, it leads us to a point where we can hit the ground running. ;)

I agree with @DeepSpacer with the exception of it leading us to a point where we can hit the ground running. It lead to an armed and fully operational Deathstar 2. I'm fairly sure that running won't make a difference....lol

Playing for a gangster.

What ever happens, we don’t do exclusive contracts?

Destiny Pool:

GM; Hyperlight Echoes; Destiny Roll:
, 2 Light Side , 6 Dark Side

I'll get Rider to add the Destiny tracker to this game.

You can each now make a Performance check. (See the House Rules section for how to do this.) Feel free to narrate what your character is doing as they perform for this executive!

Just trying to figure out what modifiers we should be apply to this check. I’m assuming the small crowd one since there is only two people. However what about the other things listed?

Oh man, I love that opening scroll, I've tried to use them effectively in my own gming, but its harder to do in person unless you have a tv you can cast to, but in pvp it really works well.

So, guys, how would you feel about Geise taking the first roll and introducing us, I figured he could say something like
Image Settling into his position behind his drums, Gaise takes the initiative, "Thank you for having us, we are the Blueshift Echoes, lets hit it, guys."
And then I would add my leadership roll.

I want to say again, using the text boxes and the opening scroll are two ideas that I find are really innovative and will be an improvement to how we run pbp in general on this board. I know if I ever have time to run a game I'll be using both of them.

Ah, good point. I forgot about that. About to dash off to a doc appointment for the little one, so give me a couple hours. I'll update the original request. (And be sure to post in the IC when you make the actual rolls!) ;)

Thanks! The portrait boxes may or may not work. I like 'em, but I don't want them to be a requirement for players who are in a hurry.

(I think having you go first makes sense; are you thinking Inspiring Rhetoric to give boosts to the rest of the band? Or a Leadership-Performance check?)

So, these checks will have no situational modifiers. The office is respectable, it's fairly crowded with all of you in it, there's nice enough lighting and acoustics, and there was no opening act. So just roll your Performance skills as is. (You can use Advantages rolled to pass boosts and so on, just like in a regular check.)

I think I’ll have the “let’s hit is” be an inspiring rhetoric and then his opening drum beat be a leadership check to spur playing.

@Boutrose Saba-Norr Your new destiny point tracker is added. I was not sure what your destiny pool is currently so you will need to update it. Use the update link and then select your campaign from the drop-down list.

@Boutrose Saba-Norr, you might also indicate what song you want the band to play. Is it one of your former hits with Zannel? Is it new material? Is it something from the Great Nubian Songbook? Y'all should feel free to come up with names of songs you all know. It might be that in the future, this could be another modifier to difficulty; even a terrible band playing Journey can get some sympathy. For now, though, let's just go with an unmodified set of rolls.

I made the post, unfortunately the roll was not a success, which may indicate the band doesn’t like his song choice, but I didn’t put the additional leadership check in yet because I didn’t know what the difficulty would be.

I’m heading to sleep now, if you want to continue the playing while I am out I don’t mind you making that leadership check for geise once you determine it’s difficulty.

No, that's fine. Inspiring Rhetoric is an average check, so you did it right. Now the other band members get to go with Performance checks. Per the house rules, they each get to choose how difficult they want the check to be (with higher rewards for a harder check).

She update have put my post in the general thread here. As said Meshel is an aggressive guy. Charm isn’t his strong suit after. I’d pass the advantage on to the next folk to go.

@ThreeBFour, go ahead and add a second boost to Targus's check. For 4 Advantage from Meshel, you can get 2 boosts, which may put you over the edge on Successes.

@Spiritbw, you got 1 Success on a 2 Difficulty check, which gives you 2 Successes to play with (to reduce your audience's strain). Do you want them both to go toward one target, or do you want to split them up between Farjam and her bodyguard?

@ SavageBob I added a single boost die to my roll due to the high quality instrument.
Also I'm a little fuzzy on your performance table and rules. Do we take strain every time we make a performance check?
