[Kri looks to see if anyone's looking. No one is. She hops over the bar.] "Look at this stash!"

Ellimelli Porpa

[Ellimelli sits down at the bar.] “New Plympto jungle juice for me, dear. And vaporize it!” [She knocks on the dome of her enviro-suit.] “Wouldn't want an Enso like me to open the dome and boil to death, would you? Have a drink, Ryg'gos. They won't mind. We're with the entertainment.”

Lalkan Kithaba

[Back on stage, Kithaba drops Ghaise's hand and moves within centimeters of Meshel's face. He places his clawed hands on the other Klatooinian's shoulders.] “No, Brother! Any mission to honor the Ancient Ones is important. I will watch your every move so I can offer my help.”

Granari

[At the other side of the stage, Granari pauses.] “You were good up there. You should be the headliners. The Echoes should be the headliners." Spoiler: Granari; Hyperlight Echoes; Deception: 3 Failures, 5 Advantages 2 Advantage(s) added From talents or equipment for inadvertently appealing to Jessa's Flaw, but for the bad blood between them. [She's hiding something.] “I can tell you want to be up here. And the headliners get paid more. You deserve it." "Nice try Granari. I know that you wanted to headline as much as I did. You didn't hold back up there. Are you angling for a cut of the take? Do the headliners split a portion of the take with the rest? What's your game?"

"Corellian ale if you would Kri. Ellimelli, there’s no reason to be so hostile. You all came here for a reason, if you need help just let me know. It’s professional courtesy after all."

Kri

[Kri pours the ale and places the jungle juice into a strange contraption. She's remarkably good at mixology.]

Ellimelli Porpa

“Ryg'gos, I merely want to ensure that the Blueshift Echoes don't get an unfair advantage over my associates.” [Kri hands Ryg'gos his ale. Ellimelli takes a capsule with condensation on it. She plugs it into her suit. Fumes wisp up inside the dome.] “That's good. Perk of having so many Nosaurians around. So let's talk professional courtesy. You have a camdroid. I saw it. They're forbidden here—dangerous even. But they do good work. My proposal is simple: Have the droid record both performances. You give me a copy of the footage at the end of the night. In return, I don't tell Gozer or Flash what I've seen.” Spoiler: Ellimelli Porpa; Hyperlight Echoes; Coercion: 3 Failures, 1 Advantage for inadvertently appealing to Ryg'gos's Fear of failure. 2 Strain for a failed social attempt during "social combat." to get one strain back.]

[Granari shrugs and smiles at Jessa.] “It's probably a dumb idea. Don't worry about it." [She seems to be shutting down.]

Ryg’gos clucks his tongue.”In negotiations you need to have all the pieces if you hope to control the situation. I don’t know what droid you’re talking about? But clearly you THINK something is really here. How do you think Gozer or Flash would act if you told them I had something I didn’t? Would be a shame if you and the Rontos got tossed out. I’m sure Prall the Hutt wouldn’t be too happy about that. He did send you for ‘other’ reasons after all." Ryg’gos was just guessing but Prall the Hutt sent the Rontos to get Gozer’s help with something but he had no proof. But if she truly was thinking she had leverage he had to play the game. He took a drink of his ale before continuing. ”Now if you seriously want my help ask nicely. Maybe I could get the thing you’re asking for. “You insult me, Ryg'gos! I know what I saw. If there's no camdroid in that bag, prove it. "I’m not insulting you, it’s just an observation. Prall the Hutt has the Nubian Palace where your band could easily perform. But if you really insist you can see the bag.” Hopefully Kri was able to hide the cam droid before this situation came up. Regardless he reached back for the bag anyways and then offered it to Ellimelli.

“Fine. Let's see it.” [Porpa takes the bag from Kri and opens it. It's empty.] Spoiler: Ellimelli Porpa; Hyerlight Echoes; Perception: 0 Success, 4 Advantages, 1 Despair, Flipped a DP. because the lights are up, and because Kri is unfamiliar with this location. “What the—!”

"You’ve had a look now give the bag back. Perhaps we should go someplace a little quieter and discuss a potential business arrangement? Kri why don’t you take my bag and head back to the dressing room. You remember where I keep it back at the studio right? If me and Ellimelli can come to some sort of understanding I’ll send you for it.” Ryg’gos couldn’t believe how well that worked out! Now he may just have the upper hand here! ”Shall we?” He said offering a hand to Ellimelli.

Thinking quickly Meshel decides to blend the truth a bit with the story Jessa gave the droid merchants earlier. Heaving a sigh he tells Kithaba in a low murmur,”A’right brother, truth ‘s we had a droid or two go missin’ in the area. Wi’ droid fights here I c’n guess wha’ happen’ to them. Jus’ gotta find the remains ta confirm.” He taps the side of his nose,”The ancient ones wan’ no trouble w’ Mr. Gozer so it’s on th’ down low,dig?” In his mind he begs Farjams forgiveness for comparing her to a Hutt.

But, it does feel good to Jessa to dish out a veiled insult to her competition. "Why don't you fill me in on what's REALLY going on? You have a venue to perform at, why come here? Why compete against "US"? C'mon, fill me in on the details, "STAR" to "STAR"." I don't know how you did it, but you did.” [Kri seems a bit unsure about whether she should hop the bar again and split. She's hemmed in by Ellimelli.] “Look, Ryg'gos. I'm a sensible woman. Holofilmmaking is how I express myself. You have a great holocam. I could do a lot with the footage it takes tonight. What's your game in playing coy about all this?” Spoiler: Her Desire is Self-Expression. if you appeal to it. Perhaps you could show me how? Would that be a good trade-off? I would truly be honored to see you at work, your skills are remarkable! I know you’ve been burned in the past, we all have. [Kithaba pauses, looks back to Meshel.] “Why aren't you coming? Let's find your droid! Or is there some other way I can help your mission?”

[She sighs.] “Look—Things are tough right now. We had a standing gig at the Novadust Casino, but that's gone now. No alien-majority bands, right? Except in underground places like this?" [Granari shrugs, smiles.] “But half the City Council's supposed to be here tonight! I've kind of got a thing going… with one of the councilmen. Still early days. But I thought maybe if I sweet-talked him a bit… It'll just be harder if we headline." [The conversation seems to have captured the attention of Kittobuck and Nijor.] Spoiler: grabbed their attention.

Targus Jhonez

Targus watched as various members of each band grouped to speak to each other, like they knew each other. He knew that Zan and Granari had been something for a little while, even having seen them together at Ruffus' last show, but he felt no connection to her and really didn't want to be anywhere near her while Jessa was around. His gaze settled on Kittobuck, who was standing to the side caring for his floonorp. Targus was still somewhat awed by the Wookiee's ability to play the instrument with such grace despite his size and strength. "Excuse me Sir" he said walking over to the Wookiee, "Do you maybe have any tips you might share with me about playing?"

Finally making up his mind Meshel says to Gheise,”Got my comlink on me. Lemme know five minutes ‘fore our set starts. Gonna go take a look a’ this droid fightin’.” With that he heads off after Kithaba,”Right, le’see wha’s goin’ on.”

Ellimelli Porpa

[She takes a deep breath. The last flumes of alcohol disappear from under her dome.] “Fine. Let's move somewhere a bit more private. After you, dear.” Spoiler: She's below half Strain Threshold now. Means she's ready for a Negotiation!

Kittobuck

[On stage, the Wookiee looks like he might be listening in on Granari and Jessa. He looks up at Targus.] “Grrwooowl!” Spoiler: DP flip means someone in the group speaks Shyriiwook. Or a Xenology check. Otherwise, Nijor can translate.]

Nijor Pitor

“Oh, c'mon, Bucky! No need to be so gloomy. Big guy's been a bit out of it ever since we lost our regular casino gig.” [He extends a hand to Targus.] “Name's Nijor. This pile of fur is Bucky. Nice to meetcha.”

[Boutrose Saba-Norr]

Ghaise

Seeing that everyone else was busy, Ghaise decides to head out with the two klantoonien, not wanting meshal to be caught alone in a situation he might need help with, "Hold up Mesh, I’ll come along ” He begins to keep pace with the two.

Targus Jhonez

Targus extends his hand to Nijor in return. "Targus Jhonez." He greeted the hallikset player. "You were great as well up there, my performance fell a little short. I felt like I fumbled the fingering a little and didn't come in on the right beat. That's why I was asking Bucky, as you call him, for advice. He plays very gracefully, especially for having such large hands compared to his instrument."

Kittobuck

[Kittobuck snorts.] “Snrrrf snrrf snrrf. Grwwwlll rrrarrooo… snrrf.” Spoiler: It’s an off-color joke. Something about size not mattering, big hands, and the like.

Nijor Pitor

“Oh, come off it, Bucky. That joke was horrible even for you. You’re right, though, Targus. Bucky channels his strength. His finger work is off sometimes, but he can hold a note longer’n anyone. Fancy-pants critics don’t like it sometimes, but they miss the point. The rage makes it work.” [Nijor shrugs.] “Me own stuff’s pretty by the book. Trained in the conservatory on Arkania. Bucky’s trying to loosen me up.”

Kittobuck

[Kittobuck snorts.] “Rrrrwwrooollr. Rrrfff aroooo.” Spoiler: “Speaking of loosening up, there’s an open bar over there.”

Nijor Pitor

“Sounds like the big guy wants a drink. But you probably need to consult your bandmates, yeah? Any idea if you’re going to take the opening spot or the headliner slot? Bit of a tough decision considering who’s gonna be here tonight.”

"Let’s head over to that booth over there. Should be able to finish our discussion uninterrupted.” Ryg’gos led the way to a booth tucked away in the corner, ale in hand.

Ellimelli Porpa

[She settles into the booth. Kri stays back behind the bar for the time being.] “So what's this proposal of yours, Ryg'gos?”

Ryg'gos Rat'kras

Ryg’gos sits in the booth across from Ellimelli. "We both know that no matter who headlines tonight, it’s our job to make them shine for the masses. We can’t rely on their talent alone thanks to this new legislation. Even if they have VIPs here, we can’t trust them to put out the word of how good they are so they can get new gigs. It’s all on us, and how we can express their talents to the galaxy through holovid.” He puts his drink down and leans across the table. ”I’m not gonna lie to you, I know of a perfect spot for a cam droid to be used with very little chance of being caught. If I can get it here and in position, I’ll record BOTH performances. But, I want your help editing the final product. Seems like a fair trade off to me. You’ll get extra footage to use and I’ll get your help expressing the band’s talent. What do you say? Do we have a deal?”
