Nintendo fans anyone
Turns out, there are odds out there with(I'm pretty sure ) OGL based off Nintendo games.like
Kirby(big surprise here)
Legends of zelda
Super mario.
This is my interest gauge here, I would love this to happen. But I'm not holding my breath. I haven't read any of it yet, but I'm working

Re: Nintendo fans anyone
There are two zelda games and one is a mod to dnd and one is a d6 system

Re: Nintendo fans anyone
Yea I've seen a Zelda pbp but it doesn't use any dice.
Metroid would be an interesting game to try too.

Re: Nintendo fans anyone
If you decide to play a game with a different dice system I can modify one of the rollers to work for it. It wouldn't be that hard especially if it is work similar to the D&D or FFG systems.Matt Skywalker wrote: ↑Tue Apr 24, 2018 11:03 pmThere are two zelda games and one is a mod to dnd and one is a d6 system
Re: Nintendo fans anyone
I have a simple system that uses d6. My cousin created it. Is designed to be easily modifiable. I'll get the most recent version and post it here.

Yea pokemon seems like it would be difficult. Besides training, capturing, and challenging gyms what else is there?

Re: Nintendo fans anyone
One of them had it done really well and based on the d20 system, but our dm felt it was really difficult to track both player experience and Pokémon experience separately.
Re: Nintendo fans anyone
Why would you need to track player xp? It would seem like only the pokemon xp would matter. Did you get special moves that made capturing easier?

Re: Nintendo fans anyone
There were careers and thing syou could advance down like becoming a gym leader or a league member, the leveling for humans was achievement based rather than xp and was basically like leveling in dnd
So the player would need their own stats to do things like run climb remember things and catch Pokémon and would have classes and features that could speacilize them towards their specific play style.
The leveling system for the Pokémon was basically like leveling your weapons.

Doesn't seem like it would be too hard to keep track of. Actually sounds interesting.

@Matt Skywalker
What are you thinking? Is there a certain genre you were wanting to do?

Re: Nintendo fans anyone
It had something to do with the combat system being really wierd from what I remember but the way the actual players worked was great, if there was just a revamp to the Pokémon fighting system it would probably be great.
But if you want I’ll post a thing of it here when I get home.

Re: Nintendo fans anyone
Was it d20? I think there are more than a few pokemon offshoots.

Re: Nintendo fans anyone
something I just realized when I was searching for this is they have a giant forum just for answering questions about the system,
anywhere here is a link to the pdf's for the player guide, gm's guide, and the Pokedex. these are all fan made free to access material so it should be fine to share it.

I'm good with a Zelda game too! I was more interested in running pokemon for my irl group.

Re: Nintendo fans anyone
Followed some links on that page and found that they have a pbp page as well. No open games that I could really find our want to play. They did have a pokemon using the Fallout setting which is an interesting read to say the least!Boutrose Saba-Norr wrote: ↑Thu Apr 26, 2018 12:13 am
