Just a heads up: I'm going to be mostly without internet until sometime on Monday. I'll be ready to post my responses then with no issue.

No worries, thank you for the head's up.

So if I’m not mistaken the stats for my lightsaber should be:

Lightsaber: DMG 11, Crit 1, Range Engaged, Encum 2, HP 5; Breach 1, Sunder, Vicious 2, 2 handed
I am afraid that isn't quite right. This looks like you've picked up the stats from the EotE or AoR book - which represents a standard hilt with a fully modded crystal.

You guys have just created a basic hilt. On it's own, the hilt does nothing - it requires a crystal attachment. As crystals are attachments, they can be modified in the normal way. For now you will add an unmodified crystal to your hilt.

Now that you have all attuned to your crystals, I should provide you with the salient information.

Ilum Crystal:
Base Modifiers: Installing an Ilum Crystal sets a Lightsaber's base damage to 6 and a Critical rating of 2. It bestows Breach 1 and Sunder.
Hard Points required: 2
Modification Options: 2 x (Vicious +1), 4 x (Damage +1), 1 x (critical rating -1) [min 1].
Cost: (R) 9,000

Rashk
Two Handed Lightsaber | Lightsaber | Damage (7) | Cit (2) | Engaged | Encumbrance (3) | Hard Points (5) | Price (10,000(R)) | Rarity (10) | Breach 1, Sunder, Two Handed | Ilum Crystal (2 HP)

Tai, spiritsw
Standard Lightsaber | Lightsaber | Damage (6) | Cit (2) | Engaged | Encumbrance (1) | Hard Points (5) | Price (10,000(R)) | Rarity (10) | Breach 1, Sunder | Ilum Crystal (2 HP)

Raven, Bardax
Precision Lightsaber | Lightsaber | Damage (5) | Cit (2) | Engaged | Encumbrance (1) | Hard Points (3) | Price (10,000(R)) | Rarity (10) | Breach 1, Sunder, Accurate 1 | Ilum Crystal (2 HP)

@spiritsw with your 1 advantage, you could ape Rashk and opt to have a two-handed lightsaber OR you can "Learn Something" and take a boost to your next mechanics check when working on a Lightsaber. This is what @azzranache has opted for.

@crazybirdman Likewise, you have 1 Threat - for which there are usually two options. You can either take 3 strain for the "Exhausting Effort" of building the thing (which you'll take through into the next session) OR you can opt to make the hilt "Heavy" which gives it +1 Encumbrance. Unless you indicate a preference otherwise, on the basis of what you have written, I'm attributing "Exhausting Effort" which can include the waste of materials, perceived anger from your mentor and any other factors. But two and a half days of work have taken a toll.

I’ll take the “learn something” Option for next time.

Yeah, I'll take the 'exhausting effort' option, that's kind of what I was going for with wasted parts and Hoss being upset and such
also I thought the Precision Hilt only had three HP?

Superb! Could you and @Azzranache make a note on your sheets under the Talents section perhaps?

Learned Something (Lightsaber construction):
The PC receives a boost to their next Lightsaber related mechanics check. (one time use)

So we no longer have the training sabers? Just want to be sure my sheet is accurate. Also, I'm assuming we had to return the mining tool?

GM’s choice for my saber color. I’m not too picky.
Achex Rococa, Torax Ubac, Rade Trah, CT-9564 "Doc", Varc Jesk - Jedi, Meddaar Vampor - Monk

Excellent! Congratulations on your shiny blue lightsaber! Yours is a proper actual Ilum crystal from Ilum!

I haven't explicitly had your training sabers taken off you yet but thet will be removed imminently. Additionally, you will all receive new uniforms shortly.

I might actually have forgotten about the fusion cutter if you hadn't reminded me, thanks! If you wouldn't mind taking it off your inventory - we'll consider it taken off you on your return. :D

question, so we can attempt to mod our sabers AND the crystal inside the saber?

Generally speaking - you have weapons/armour, attachments, and modifications. You can add attachments to weapons/armour for a one off cost and you can then modify attachments for a cost and a Mechanics skill check. Modifications reap large benefits bit at significant risk.

When it comes to crystals, mechanically you can mod the crystal as you would any other attachment. However, thematically this is more like making fine adjustments to the hilt to make the most of the crystal (because a crystal has relatively few moving parts!). Of course, there's room for personal interpretation pretty much everywhere.

@SanguineAngel since you posted a response in the IC already I wanted to make sure you did not miss Chibiithii's rock attack on the rodents. I have been known to miss posts when multiples have been made. There is no hurry if you were waiting to respond, i just wanted to make sure it wasn't missed. I have spent far too many days with players waiting or me or vice versa because of that to assume anything.

Hey sw, no you're not going crazy - I will post up a response for chibiithii this evening. Apologies for the delay. It's nothing significant, just got to get to my stats back home, whereas the bardax response didn't require any reference material.

Its all good. I understand how that goes. You also didn't seem to be expecting him to fight. I thought about a few different tactics and trying to fight / scare them off seemed like the one Chibiithii would take.

I cant believe that actually worked! I was expecting to get into a fight. Now the question is what is on the other side of the door? Could be a pool, sewer system, maintenance room. I am halfway expecting the tunnel to fill up with water!

yeah, that's what I was looking at. The Ilum crystal has 6 total modification options? So by the time you get to the last one you have to roll like ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage?

Hah yeah it's a lot of mods. But I'd cap the diff dice at 5 (formidable/impossible) and look to upgrades after that. Applying decreases for working on your own saber in reverse order.

ha, my mechanics is ImageImage, I'm not even going to attempt to tinker with this thing. Maybe, maybe I will, if I can use the lightsaber skill instead of mechanics.
Even then it's not worth risking a Image and having to start all over back at the mines 'cause i broke the thing

If chibiithii provides skilled assistance you get to use his 4int and get a boost die. But he needs to join the group first.
