I have Codebreaker skill but we might not need it.

Give it a go, I imagine it would be a computers check. If you get stuck due to a password or something then I'll have a go with Codebreaker.

Well we can try to turn this computer on, or we can talk to our hosts and see if one of them have a key and can make it work. What do you think?

I think let's try for the key first. They seem to be on our side and have placed us down here with it so can't see why they wouldn't hand it over if they have it.

"Raven, do you have any idea what this key might look like?" Bardax asks.

"Perhaps we can draw a picture of it for them, they might recognise it" he adds.

Bardax finds a small piece of coal like rock on the floor and holds it up to Raven.
niiice!

@craxybirdman, the slot on the machine for the key would be for a keycard - around the size of a credit card, a cm thick with a keyed edge around three sides and on both faces.

Raven answers, "I was just going to find one of the higher ranking ones, take them downstairs, point to the computer, and hope they know what to do. Being tough with them didn't seem to work, and I do not think the would worship a non functioning computer terminal."
Okay guys, so what are you going to do at this point? If you're looking for someone in particular how will you go about it?

I guess to try and locate the chief-looking creature that was keen for us to enter the mansion.

Should we offer them something?

It may be worth handing over the coal to the creature after to see if they can draw something that they may want to tell us about (e.g. a monster, a trap, a lost companion)?

Yeah I want to look around for the chief to? Is that a perception check or is she just out and about?

OOC: Oh yeah, back to failing in a big way! Can we saw that one of the creatures misunderstands me, instead of finding the chief they give us something that'll be useful for our pending excavation/cave exploration?
Actually, this is the sort of result I was hoping for. I'll post IC in the morning

This place certainly sounds like sith/jedi were here at one pioint judging by the murals of figures with "flaming swords" and the stories have been passed down. They held us in some regard to that when they first saw our training sabers.

Are there any paintings/portraits around the mansion of any of these historical figures? Perhaps one main one in One Leg or Chief's room?

I was thinking maybe I could go away and change into one of these significant figures. When I come back ,they might be in total awe and not only help us with the computer but would probably come and help us in the cave too!

The Murals in the basement were the best preserved and the figures in those wore quite distinctive, ancient looking garments. I'll leave the exact descriptions to you if you go that route, but it was more unique looking than a simple robe. (Perhaps think of ancient egyptian or neo-classical art). There were several prominent figures with features you might emulate - white hair, beards, goatees etc or different humanoid races. Again, I'd leave the exact specifics to you.

how upset does this tribble seem with us? Maybe I can show him my saber? Let him see it's nothing to be scared of. I don't want him to run off with it though

Haha Oh! That's also an interesting thought. If you want to read the room you could give me an Easy (P) Perception check or use your force power to sense his emotions.

Well, we can try to get on the creatures good side, but i think with Raven using the dark pip, he will want to go with your shape shifting idea.

You are, apologies - just started looking after my kid full time for a few weeks and actually have less time to post than i did before! I'll try to get something up today. Should have better grasp on scheduling time for this in during the working week next week.

Really sorry to keep you guys waiting!

Ok, I'm going to make a heavy Influence roll on this guy.

Whatever the outcome of the dice will be how this goes down:

Light Pip - I'll use friendly motions and gestures to calm him and believe we are his friends.
Dark Pip - I'll advance on him, tower tall and strike fear into him.

@crazybirdman, let me know if you think this is a good move?

It could get messy...

That's sounds pretty cool, if you go for it, feel free to get creative - seems like a lot of latitude to explore what the force means to you. Try not to control one foots actual behaviour though, I'll handle his reaction accordingly.
