Gosh! Sorry sw, comepletely slipped my mind!
Re: OOC Session 2: Shadow Peak Mines
Np it was just a reminder. I don't think you've even had this situation come up before. It is rare that neither Shado nor I are in a game on these boards. We have just both been busy lately.

Re: OOC Session 2: Shadow Peak Mines
Thanks @@swrider. Would you mind updating the active games list to reflect that Dark Academy now has three players and one opening?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: OOC Session 2: Shadow Peak Mines
Would rolling a Perception check help to find clues about the surrondings or find anything useful ?

Re: OOC Session 2: Shadow Peak Mines
A perceptive question! Yes, give me an Average (PP), with setback for fear. Perception check and we'll see just what
Re: OOC Session 2: Shadow Peak Mines
I suppose I want to try to decipher the symbols in the hope it gives some information.
Or blindly I would follow a line (the blue, to the right, maybe).
How hard would be to roll this check (Knowledge?) ?

Hey @LaGouache, give me a Hard (PPP) Lore or Eduction check to see if you recognise the language.

@SanguineAngel is there anything we should know about the shaft or any checks we need to make?

@SanguineAngel I can't seem to find anything on a climb skill? Would this be an Athletics (Br) or Co-ordination (Ag) check perhaps?

@crazybirdman Bardax's boot is only snagged so it could be unhooked/pulled away by someone passing down. Nothing too tricky, just tricky for Bardax because of the position he's in.
Could probably just edit that in to your last post

Re: OOC Session 2: Shadow Peak Mines
Hey guys, doing well!
A couple points about my latest post for you:
1. I've asked for a Vigilance or Perception check from the two in the lift shaft since you've come across something unusual. Ordinarily, I'd only ask for a vigilance without prompt from you - as it indicates noticing something without atctively looking. In the future, I'll try to avoid asking for a Vigilance (Passive) check until you have had the opportunity declare an active search (Perception). But thought it was significant enough here that you might have wanted to examine the scene pro-actively.
2. I'm experimenting with clocks. You'll note a mystery clock at the bottom. From earlier in the scene, this was at 1 (I wish I had called it out when I started it. Now it is at 2. Let me know how you feel about this sort of thing! I'm hoping it adds a bit of mystery and tension but it might just be annoying.
3. Lastly, @LaGouache I'm not asking for a check from you as you probably have your own ideas but if you have OOC questions you can always ask for clarification here before proceeding. Or if you'd like to examine something for inspiration that's cool too. Or, of course, you can ignore it and press on!

Re: OOC Session 2: Shadow Peak Mines
I rolled vigilance. I can add narration later if necessary.
I love the timer thingy, it's so ominous. I do something similar in my games, if there is a time crunch. I have a die in the table and lower the number. The players can use advantage to raise the number, essentially prolonging whatever is going to happen from happening.

Re: OOC Session 2: Shadow Peak Mines
Sorry to jump in the middle here, but if there is space in this campaign I would be very interested in joining in as an Emperors hand. I've had a quick look over the ic stuff and it looks like a pretty cool group and I've always wanted to try playing a character 'from the other side'. I was thinking maybe a shadow or protector. I look forward to hearing if there is room!

Re: OOC Session 2: Shadow Peak Mines
@SanguineAngel Do I still need to roll since @crazybirdman smashed it?
I agree, I also like the mysterious timer (and also CBM's idea to extend the time with advantage).
Welcome @MrTweedy, always happy for additional players to join the team! I'm sure our awesome GM will agree
A protector is much needed so would be great to have one of those!

Re: OOC Session 2: Shadow Peak Mines
Hey @MrTweedy! Thanks and don't worry about jumping in. You've done exactly the right thing and I am glad the game has piqued your interest. The best thing to do is work up a couple of general character concepts (name, career, specialisation, race, background) and post them in the character concept subforum for discussion with the rest of us. I'll say that we have a couple of sneaky characters already and one is a shadow too. However, as @Azzranache rightly says, a guardian or similar might be most welcome.

Re: OOC Session 2: Shadow Peak Mines
@Azzranache to answer your question, cbm smashed so you don't need to roll, unless you fancy tour chances at a triumph!
And thanks both for they feedback. @crazybirdman that sounds like a really cool way of doing it. Might do similar with sufficient advantage or triumph.

@SanguineAngel is the spear tip/blade broken or only the handle?

Went for it anyway.
No triumph but 6x success is just as good right?

Re: OOC Session 2: Shadow Peak Mines
Hello! Crow here. I'm new to the forum and am writing this note to express my interest in joining this game if and when there's an opening. I should say up front that I'm still figuring out functionality (things like dice rolling) and culture (formatting of in-character dialogue and internal monologues, for example), but I'm usually a quick hand at things like that.
