Eventually you all return to your rooms in dribs and drabs. The room is warm and welcoming, with the promise of food and drinks and rest. The sky is dark outside but the lights of the city are still bright. From the skylights in the offices' dome below, white light illuminates now largely empty plazas and offices. There is a stillness about the city at this hour.
It is late but there is a knock on the door. Outside, one of the ambassador's staff members greets you impassively, "Good evening, agents. Ambassador Dene sends his regards and would like to inform you that, as anticipated, your request for entry into the Silver Belt has been denied by the council. He requests the pleasure of your company in the morning to discuss your next steps."
