Background
Background:
Tai Saifa joined the research team for clone development on Kamino near the end of the Clone Wars. By then, the source DNA for the clones was wearing thin and drastic measures were needed to either renew or replace it. Tai led her own research project separate from the main labs, where she was allowed to tap into any resource she could find to refresh the cloning processes.

A data transfer from an anonymous source was sent to Tai's desk explaining ancient techniques unknown to the Kaminoan scientists. Not knowing that this information was really from the Sith Lord and future Emperor, Tai began experimenting with this data to see what it could provide. Her untapped connection with the Force responded very positively to the Sith alchemy techniques presented to her, and she made interesting progress with the clone DNA in her private lab.

By the time Tai submitted her research reports, the Clone Wars came to an abrupt end. All that she had learned was abandoned as the Republic's need for clones were no longer needed. Her progress did not go unnoticed, however. After Tai's private lab was completely shut down, she was invited to take part in a confidential academy where she would be able to continue the alchemy techniques she had been developing.

The Force ties all together in both life and death. Tai has only begun to understand this concept despite all of her years of research into biological sciences. As her understanding of the Force grows, so does her hunger to understand the sway the Force has over life and death.

Tai's intellect enables her to grasp complex information, but this only causes her to desire more. The most important knowledge is that which she does not yet know.

If an important piece of information continues to evade her, Tai will obsess over it until she discovers and fully understands its secrets. Her entire research project on Kamino involved the secrets of Sith alchemy, and even being shut down did not stop her own personal delvings into those mysteries. Her entire life work is based on it.

The character removes ■ per rank of Researcher from her Knowledge checks. Researching takes 50% less time (this does not decrease with additional ranks of Researcher).

Stimpack Specialization: Rank 1
Whenever the character uses a stimpack, the target heals an additional wound per rank of Stimpack Specialization. The sixth stimpack and beyond each day still have no effect.

Stim Application:
The character may take the Stim Application action. To perform this action, they must have access to drugs, a medpac, or stimpacks. They make an Average Medicine check. If successful, one ally they are engaged with (including themselves) increases one characteristic of the character's choice by one for the remainder of the encounter and suffers four strain. A single character's individual characteristics may each only be increased once by Stim Application during an encounter.

Resolve: Rank 1
When the character suffers strain, they suffer one less strain per rank of Resolve, to a minimum of one. This does not apply to voluntary strain loss.

Secret Lore: Rank 1
The character removes ■ per rank of Secret Lore from their Knowledge (Lore) checks. The character reduces the difficulty of all Knowledge (Lore) checks they make by I (this does not increase with additional ranks of Secret Lore).

I like this character, and LOVE the backstory (I may steal it for a future NPC in the game I GM :mrgreen:)
I wouldn't worry about not having any combat. None of us have any strong combat skills and I love the idea of having a group that is skilled in other areas, having to cope with combat situations to achieve their goals.

We can always take the lightsaber spec that corresponds with our highest characteristic if need be.

If someone joins now with a combat focused spec, they would have to be one heck of a tank, since we would all be using them as a meat sheild.
