Not too worried about the alligators right now. I’ll do the religion check if that’s fine.

Go for it. Advantage for a great idea, but disadvantage for being a silver halfdragon. So normal roll. I'm going to keep the DC secret so you don't know if it succeededs until you interact with them.

Should I just go ahead? Or do I need to deal with the alligators first?

You need to get past them somehow. Nice roll.

Lucky roll haha. In our food supplies do we have meat? Perhaps local birds or animals we could use as something to get the alligators out of the way?

@swrider I still need to move my character sheets to level 5. I might just keep the Dragonborn as my only character unless we really need the dwarf paladins still. Suggestions for the level up?

We have a new player a Droid joining the party, that should take care of healing. I'll take a look and make a suggestion.

I would just level to monk to 5 directly. Extra attack and stunning strike are good. If you want diversity you can multitask multiclass next round. Maybe a fun combination like barbarian. I rage against you with my fists.

I think I’ll stay on the monk path for now. I’ll update the sheet when I get a chance.

Someone feel like hunting some wild game to get rid of these alligators? Or should we cause a scene and kill them like murder-hobs do?

I'd say your spell check sucks, but the amount of times I write Droid it wouldn't surprise me if mine did the same. But having R2-D2 join the party would be awesome....

Someone asked about meat. You have rations, that can include some meat. I'm fine with that. There are also many animals you could catch

@kanila I wanted to let you narrate your approach. The outcome had already been determined, but the way you approach it will affect the story. If you dont get a chance to post in the next few days ill go ahead and push us forward.

...................An elf of some sort is suspended from the ceeling by two chains, his armor, equipment, and wealth dangling under his feet. The creature is clad only in a thick leafy undergarment wrapped around his waist. You are unsure, but the garment appears to be made of poison ivy...........................Your own Elvin escort seems visibly upset starting intently at the hanging elf.
Gage is more concerned on saving the world than helping some poor elf. Who knows? He may be some kind of criminal or thief! Maybe he deserves the punishment?

OTOH, Gage has Persuasion +6 so he wouldn't be against bartering for the elf's release. He has about 300gp in wealth and two potions. Persuasion may come into play for the scale. Will see what our dragonkind friend can do, first.

The way it looks to me is that the elf is meant as an offer (snack) for the sleeping dragon. I may be lawful good but I’m not dumb enough to attempt a rescue here haha. If you were gonna offer something to rescue the elf it would have to be live meat. We have two donkeys (or did we lose the wagon?)

Do we know how old this dragon is? Is it an ancient?

GREAT IDEA!!!!!

If it is, indeed, an "offering", then this trade should suffice.

I can imagine something Shrek-like (or, I think it was Futurama) in which we strap some pointed ear-like leaves on the donkey and pass him off as an Elf. ;)

Persusation check please. I recommend someone take the help action to give him advantage. Since he gets a -1 to the roll.

Oomaq doesn't speak Draconian, but has Orc, Undercommon, Sylvian and Elvish. But does have the ability to take the Help Action from 30' away (Mastermind)
