Evacuation OOC
Re: Evacuation OOC
Yes it is all around you and you would have likely stepped in it by now. It is unlikely to damage any creature living here, but I don't think that is your intent.

Re: Evacuation OOC
Nope I was thinking about a possible repeat of the little trick from the crypt at the start of the game.
Re: Evacuation OOC
Anyone with a readied action should take it at this point. Sorry for the delay, my kid was sick this weekend and my wife and I ended up getting a little of it also.

Rurik knows that it is an illusion. It is an incidental to speak so he may wish to call or to the others. Before another special arrow is wasted.

Obviously Oomaq was looking at his feet of distracted by the rubies, because he saw nothing. Are there Critical Fails in 5e?

Re: Evacuation OOC
Those arrows of slaying do a heck of a lot more. We'll see if it makes it safe.
Oomaq may have struck the final blow!!!

Re: Evacuation OOC
The creature is not going down that easy. Though it is quite damaged at this point. If your character has not yet gone this round please do so. I suggest using the last arrow of slaying if the character holding it has not yet gone.

Re: Evacuation OOC
I thought we had 4?
Re: Evacuation OOC
I thought two were fired and missed. My bad you still have two left if only one missed.

Re: Evacuation OOC
Four. So I was correct that we have one left. Go ahead and swing though unless he has an arrow to fire. This beast is not going down this round.... at least it is not likely that it will.

Re: Evacuation OOC
Is there still a 2nd roll to confirm a crit? I didn't see anything in the PH
Re: Evacuation OOC
No there is no second roll to confirm a crit. I think they got rid of that in 2nd edition.
So the way crits work in 5th ed. is you double all rolled dice. So for the arrow you roll and additional 12d10 ( you double the original number of dice). You can also roll the normal damage for the bow and double the dice to that. The only that that is not doubled is your bonus. Still 12d10 + something + your bonus, is going to be pretty good damage.

So damage is 2d8+2 and not 2d8+4?
