Oomaq needs help. Dc ten to break free. Someone providing assistance can cancel the disadvantage.

Also did you guys decide to how a cleric? If so I'll have them call the aid cantrip giving a +1d4 to the check.

Sorry for the delay guys. I've been swamped with family obligations and long days combined with a long commute. I am not going to have much time with the holidays and need to put my gaming in hold through December. I will stop in but won't be able to play much. If someone would like to gm during that time they are welcome to. If not I'll pick things back up in January but will still be at a slower schedule into after my final move in February someone.

Please chime in if you would like to gm temporarily or are interested in taking over long term for this game.

5e is a learning experience for me. Not in much of a position to do things. A hiatus may be in order.

We are in the swampy area where the dragon lives and currently Oomaq is drowning due to failed rolls.

We desire to raise a simulacrum of an ancient black dragon to project the city. We need you to retrieve a scale from the dragon in the great swamp. His yaun-ti worshipers collect the scales and use them in their worship within his temple. Are you willing to undertake this quest?

{Went through portal}

On the other side you find your in a swampy forest. Large puddles of stagnant water are all around interested with the roots and soggy ground patches. If in the distance you can make it the to of a stepped pyramid. The supposed home if the dragon and good yaun-ti worshipers.
Had to look back, myself. Oomaq stepped on a alligator right out of the portal.
It is going to be initiative against a (giant) alligator?

Fireball coming online....

I was about ask what time of day it was IC so we knew for when to enter the temple, when I noticed something I missed in this post, and the original IC #9. I've highlighted the part above. @Swrider are these actually supposed to be "Good" or we have no idea?

No the alligator swam away... Then turned into an elf woman.

Will do. Ill wait a moment for other players to chime in. Also there is a new player on the forum interested in D&D I wanted to give him a chance to see if he was interested in joining. This would be a good time to do so.

Hello! I think I am the one swrider mentioned. I would indeed be interested in playing. Let me know what all I need to do and of there is any character type the group is sorely needing. I'm pretty new to PbP but I've been playing 5e and pathfinder for years. So bare with me while i figure this out.

I want to say our big missing slot is Cleric (healer of some kind) rightnow, but I'm not positive.

I can fill any sir with an NPC... That is if they will trust my NPCs any more. Pick a character you want to play. Past a concept in the character creation thread and stats. Character level is the same as the other players which should be 5 iirc.

You may have one magic item up to +1. I've the character is approve I'll introsuce them. I've got idea on that.

Yea that would be the hole that needs to be filled. Sorry for ghosting. What’s the current goings on? What happened to the characters that I was playing? If they have exited stage left that’s fine, as I didn’t respond before.

Cliff notes version if possible.

not much has happened. the group has traveled through a portal to a swamp. someone tripped on an alligator and fell in the water. You met an elvish female druid who told you a few things about the temple. You have to wait till high noon to approach the temple when the dragon should be asleep. The bridge to the temple is old rickety and has several alligators sunning themselves on it.

Interesting idea... Though animals have no loyalty. You might scare them though. If allow a handle animal, or intimidation check it something like that. Id even give advantage because it is creative.

Could I do a roll for Religion to attempt to figure out the best way to approach if I’m trying to walk in the front door? What dragon do they worship? Cause I’m silver, could make things easier or harder.

Ancient black dragon. I would allow religion vs the yuan- ti but the alligators are just animals.
