This may be a daft question, and I know generally for most games it's an Earth-like setting as far as time goes 24/7/365 and the sun still rises in the east, but are there any changes to that here?
I've had some sneaky GMs that would pull that kind of stunt, without anyone knowing.

hi guys, sorry this is my first post today, didn't get much sleep last night and had to take my wife to get her teeth pulled this morning, most of the rest of the day was spent taking care of her or passed out from exhaustion. I can't exactly catch up and reply now but i'll try to tomorrow morning.

Going down is quite common in d&d 5 so is coming back up. Either Greigor or Shor-tay can bring you back up on their turn. I figured Shor-tay would so awarren could have his turn to do what he wants and not be obligated to heal.

Is 5e initiative "Set"? So Gage is an '8' and goes after the Insects and Twig Blights?

ANY PC Can go on ANY PC slot. There is 1 PC slot then Shor-tay. If you look at the initiative track above it just says PC. My House rule means any PC can Go on any PC slot as long as they have not gone. I recommend that Kanila take a later slot rather than make a death saving through and loose a turn. Anyone else can go.

Shor-tay has a specific slot because he is NOT a pc.

I've got to go look at the combat rules to see how this works properly. Especially now that I've made it home from work and Church.

Good point i never went through the combat roud.
Each round you get an
Action: attack, dash action, disengage, perpare an attack or spell.
Move: you can move your movement speed this can be broken up at different points ib your turn.
Blnus action if you have a spell or ability thst uses a bonus action you can take one bonus action a turn.

Round.
You have one reaction. This can be used for an oportunity attack. You can also use a rection to perform a prepared action if the triggering criteria are met. Some spells also utozoe reaction. You het one reaction a round.

@ThreeBFour so Oomaq is a rogue which means you want to try to get your sneak attack so you deal extra damage. The easiest way to ensure a sneak attack is to have another ally within 5' of the target. The bugs are in contact with Meddaar but he is unconscious so does not count. One of the Tree blights is next to Gage so you could get sneak attack on that target. If you attack with your rapier and hit you could do your sneak damage, regardless of weather you hit or not you can use a bonus action to make an of hand attack with your dagger. If you missed on the first attack but hit on the second you can use your sneak attack damage for the offhand attack. Sneak attack damage can only be done once a turn. You can only use the offhand attack if you attack with your rapier or your dagger you wont get it if you use your ranged weapon. Though You can still do sneak attack damage with the ranged weapon. You just get one attempt instead of two.

If you were hidden or had a method of gaining advantage that would also allow you to do sneak attack damage. You could if you chose take this round to try hiding and may gain sneak attack next round.

Presently Oomaq has the bow 🏹 out and at the ready, as I posted at the end of the short rest. So if he shoots at the tree blight next to Gage would it be Advantage or Disadvantage?@ swrider

Neither but you do get sneak aytack damage if you hit. It is just a straight up 1d20 roll

I think it's the whole Advantage, Disadvantage, or regular d20 is what's screwing me up.

When in doubt just roll a d20 we can always add a second.
