Also, apologies for how long this section is taking (didn't expect it to go this long), have 5xp.

(this will not impact the upcoming 20xp for finishing this section)
Give me about 5 minutes after a post, I'll probably edit it a bit before it is finalized.

I’m up to 25xp and I’m not sure what to spend it on. Crazy problems to have.

Any suggestions? Varc is kinda a one trick pony.... and not that great at the one trick yet!

You can always just save up to improve that one trick. Varc's a sentinel, right? So stealth/lightsaber combat/etc.?

Yea, I was debating on increasing deception, but it doesn’t feel right for a Jedi. I could boost stealth, skulduggery, and perception.

Deception can be seen as a valid tool in a Jedi's arsenal. It gives them the ability to influence those who are resistant to the Force, and also allows them to deal with those that stand in the way of the Jedi's mission without needing to resort to violence.

That's my view, at least.

Well I could raise lightsaber to rank 3 and perception to rank 2.

So I guess @Illuminotter left (darn, I have bad luck picking up players, lol).

Luckily Varc is back, so I'm still playing the same number of DMPCs.

I don't think your luck in that is any worse than mine. Picking up players isn't all that hard. Keeping them is.

The mature players have RL commitments that kill their ability to spend significant amounts of time gaming. Even (it seems) in PbP, where you can post when you have the time. You and Rider are quite exceptional in that you two have been around for years. Especially you. And the college-age kids are mostly undependable. The current generation has serious issues with attention span.

@ThreeBFour Perception check needed. Hard + SB. Waz, I think, has the best Perception skill. Perhaps he to do the honors?

We are also not rolling initiative yet, unless someone plans to attack them as soon as they appear.

Six guards and an orb. Initiative? If so, Vigilance or Cool?
Distance to "targets"?

Not necessarily initiative.

They're currently standing there. Also, five guys in armor one guy in robes that are covering his form.

You all have a chance to do something if you want, they aren't currently looking like they're about to fire.

Trixie will step up. Rolled GREAT!!! Still have to apply a difficulty, though. Looking at 9-to-11 Successes before negative dice applied. I wasn't sure if we were still near the force convergence or not (+2 force dice). I don't know the pursuit situation, but Trixie will try to make them back off. Given that the mechanics of Coercion is "2 Succ="Inflict one strain on target." and ADV="Affect unexpected subjects beyond the original target.", I could probably do something significant after knowing the net result. Maybe cause some or all to back off, momentarily retreat, surrender, and/or inflict strain.

The CRB description is interesting. For groups, it can be a set difficulty based on their number and disposition, not an opposed check vs Will or Discipline.

Difficulty of hard, upgraded twice, with 2 additional boosts for you to roll and 1 setback.

so two red dice, 1 purple, 2 blue, and 1 black.

We are not quite close enough to the Force nexus to draw on it, so sadly no using those third and fourth Force dice.

To clarify the successes:
  • The same force signature that was in the Vergence/monster in the pit is wafting through Zyla
  • He thinks he can use the Force to isolate various foreign microorganisms in her body, but he'll need time to combine his Force efforts with medical tech
  • Arca has begun to isolate microorganisms that are recent additions to Zyla's body, which will potentially allow him to identify the sleeping disease too, if she was infected with that as well

Does anyone have any questions, or are people just waiting to see what Arca does?
