Probably needs to be exposed and fully examined.

Re: Arc II - OOC
I concur, but no one has (yet) asked/mentioned that to Arca IC. Arca will be needing a hand with Zyla because she should be gently restrained (held) as Arca examines/treats her. I'd rather not administer a standard anti-convulsive when I don't know what the cause is, as I could make things worse.

Arca hasn't gone yet, Waz.

Sorry I thought Arca always went last in combat and it shows we're still in the middle of the order.

Re: Arc II - OOC
Waz already went this round, he got to the cockpit.
Arca hadn't gone between then and his post.
Waz's action is the top action of the next round, which we will be at once I respond to Arca.
I'd forgotten to move it once Varc went. The who is up next part was accurate though, listing Waz and Trixie as already having gone.
The strange Jedi's turn is up now, and I'll get it tomorrow, I have a presentation to work on for tonight's class.

If combat is over then Arca needs to do whatever it takes to at least stabilize Zyla, assuming I can't outright cure her with what I have in my medical kit. Please tell me what roll(s) I need to make.

Re: Arc II - OOC
So Arca needs to figure out what is wrong with her, so I'll need a daunting medicine check with 2 setbacks, +1 boost if you use your medical set (as it says in its description), +2 boosts if you engage the holocron in any sort of conversation vis-a-vis Zyla. (plus any other benefits from abilities you have)
In addition, starting now we're going to find ways to engage your strength/weakness and motivation in this, since you were the one we rolled to be the one with a triggered morality.

Re: Arc II - OOC
That may be tough as ... Strength:Discipline, Weakness:Obstinance. Fortunately, *you* are the GM, so you get to figure out how to engage them. Obstinance is just another word for stubbornness, but I'm glad I'm not the one that has to devise something related to "Discipline".
Arca Gavalun; Tales of the Old Republic; Medicine check:
0 Success, 1 Advantage, 1 Triumph,
I didn't add a second boost for the holocron as I'm not sure that Arca heard any of what transpired with it. If he did, then please let me know and I'll roll another blue.

He didnt, but he did see it do that thing to her earlier, and then start glaring dagger eyes at the strange Jedi once Jarkyc messed with the datapad.

Re: Arc II - OOC
Arca may decide to engage with the holocron, but as a last resort. Everything in his training tells him that messing with such a device is a bad idea, and he's not quite at a point where he can just go against years of training out of expedience.

Re: Arc II - OOC
The "big thing" referenced in the datapad could describe that beast in the pit, right? There are no details on the "Special Concoction", such as how it's made, its ingredients, or where it's stored?

Re: Arc II - OOC
Most of it is redacted, although it does mention the concoction doesn't particularly need refrigeration. Ingredients are there, and you could roll me a daunting lore check to figure out their importance. He also noticed in the failure section eternal slumber being a side effect of an earlier attempt.
Yes, Arca thinks the bigger thing is the monster in the pit.

Well, now we know the root cause of the illness we came to this world to investigate.

What do you want to do with it? I gotta figure out those threats before I give a response post.

Re: Arc II - OOC
Wracking his brain, Arca recognizes the ingredients as something he'd seen in passing in an old Jedi alchemy tome he had a chance to look at during training. He can't recall any specifics, but it's definitely an old alchemical formula that would have been known to the Jedi thousands of years ago but fell out of favor after the 100 Years Darkness.
(and then I just have to add in the triumph).

Re: Arc II - OOC
Arca has two goals, for now. The most pressing one is to help Zyla. After that it's coming up with a solution to the "sleeping" sickness. Applying the triumph to either (or both) of those goals in relation to "ingredients are there, and you could roll me a daunting lore check to figure out their importance" would be helpful. How to do so I don't have any ideas on, so I'll leave it up to the GM or suggestions from my fellow players.
"He also noticed in the failure section eternal slumber being a side effect of an earlier attempt." ... so knowing the ingredients might allow for the development of a counter-agent. A counter-agent(s) that might be efficacious on either Zyla or the colonists (or both).

Perhaps an (identifiable) ingredient or concoction is on a table or shelf nearby? Perhaps one the lab technicians were using or preparing to use? Something that has a Lore-related property or history?

Yeah, he's clearly not going to respond in useful terms. You all can tell that from his short, curt response.

If you actually do attempt some form of physical coercion (torture doesn't always work though, and that path leads to the Dark Side... ) the difficulty will go down.
