Arc IV - OOC

Something tells me that we killed his brother in one of those tubes earlier.

I hadn't thought of that!! Seems about right. Sounds like the kind of guilt trip our GM would put on us!

So are we to take out BioCorp now? What's the use investigating missing persons if they just kidnap more people while we're doing that?

Re: Arc IV - OOC
You haven't asked, but ill give you the info because they'll hand it to you in character. There are around 100 missing persons that all are connected with a similar MO, and the current info places them as being held somewhere in the undercity, as entry and exit to the station is highly regulated and bribery is nearly impossible, since number of people on the station needs to be exact to control the CO2 scrubbers and weight distribution.
With definitive connection to BioCorp, it could be somewhere in their main building but without a code cylinder with better access, it's probably best to look at their satellite facilities first (which again, you'd be given info on since you agreed to help). Easier to break-and-enter, and also gives you a chance to interview and interrogate people that live and work near them to pick up anything important. Plus, Force Sense near them to pick off the dark side vibes the creatures give off is also a potential thing you could do.
You also could try to figure out if there's something the cops missed in connecting the disappearance.
Info you're given by Lan:
-100 people are known to be missing, but the station's oxygen consumption has fallen by slightly more than that despite weight distribution not falling by as much. This could mean these people were heavy breathers, or more people are missing/somehow smuggled off the station despite security measures
- BioCorp has their main labs in their headquarters, where you were. They have 6 more facilities that could theoretically house genetic engineering projects of this level. Three of those are near areas where a number of people disappeared.

Re: Arc IV - OOC
I'm pretty sure tracking down 100 missing persons is a useless endeavor. Seems like we can move on to one of the 3-of-6 stations. There seemed to be some GM-blocking on taking down the BioCorps HQ or going to the undercity.Doctor Who wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 12:39 am-100 people are known to be missing, but the station's oxygen consumption has fallen by slightly more than that despite weight distribution not falling by as much. Oxygen going down but weight NOT going down as much as the oxygen seems to suggest 'children'. They still consume a fair amount of oxygen but weigh so little.

Blocking in the sense you could just sit around and twiddle your thumbs while the astrogation stuff is calculated, but I figured you all want to help.
If you don't want to do anything, that's fine, I won't force it, you'll just be sitting around for days to possibly weeks waiting for results of all potential destinations based on the astrogation data you have.

As a player, I am all for taking out the BioCorps in any way that is prudent. Taking out the stations seems like the option at the forefront.

Perfect, I'll move us on if everyone is down for that.
@ShadoWarrior could I have an astrogation roll from you. You'll count as having a skill rank of 3 thanks to the computers you'll be setting up to do the calculations. 1 setback as well. Difficulty is Daunting. Feel free to spend a destiny point if you want.

Well you knocked that out of the park, solid. OK, once I get the story moving along you'll get the results after the navcomputer and droids you use finish running the simulations you set up.

I'd call that more of a solid hit to the outfield worth 2 bases. Out of the park would require a Triumph.

Sorry I've been slow to post, I played straight through Mass Effect 2 for the first time over this last week. Really enjoyed it, but probably spent too much time on it.
Getting a post up now, just having to type it out and stuff.

What are we to make of that? Pull an Anakin and say, "Jedi business! Clear out!" ?The address itself appears to be in the basement of a restaurant, which currently is filled with customers.
Assume it is beneath the restaurant? Subterranean? Just walk in and start carving into the floor with lightsabers?
This reminds me of that IRL DC pizza place that was falsely linked to running a child sex-trafficking scheme from its basement.

Re: Arc IV - OOC
OH, lmao, I hadn't even thought of the pizza-gate stuff.
Let me be more clear, it's a separate basement accessed through the restaurant, but the basement is very clearly marked as a basement and has a sign of ownership from BioCorp. The sign of ownership is really small and off the side of the door to the basement.

Not sure if the Perception is for what Trixie is looking at. I rolled it anyways, just in case.

We can all roll? I wasn’t sure if it was a group roll or not.

Well, Trixie went off on a small tangent. Still need a roll, I think, for the door going down and any details there.

Yeah, and if anyone else wants to look around the room as well, needs a roll.

Can I chat with the droids? ask them if they've seen anything odd?
