Re: Arc III - OOC
As a player of wargames for a half-century I'm all too familiar with the military concept of "defeat in detail", which means taking on an enemy (who often has greater numbers) a piece at a time to achieve localized superiority and thereby being able to win. There's that old joke about how do you eat an elephant: one bite at a time.
Yeah, splitting the group can make the GM's job easier or more quickly move the narrative forward. It also has its risks. Arca isn't a risk-taker unless the risk is worthwhile.

Re: Arc III - OOC
Could still snoop around the local area for more clues without separating the group like we did earlier.

Could I have a luck roll from one of you. I want to know how well the process is going, and a luck roll is a good way to see. Oh, that ridiculously good medical check from earlier gives you all a -15 to the luck roll, whoever rolls just take that into account.
Give me about 5 minutes after a post, I'll probably edit it a bit before it is finalized.

Careful what you ask for...Since Arca is specifically keeping the holocron in check, please make me a daunting lore check, he's gonna start picking some things up as he works to make sure Syn doesn't do anything.

Heh! You get access to the Transmogrify Talent once per day to craft something. It lets you add your Force rating, and use pips as successes. In addition, Syn's methods would allow it to be used once per day to instead allow you to use the Force to supplement any missing piece of medical equipment at the cost of 1 conflict.
The Triumph will allow you either speed up Syn's work by aiding her with the Force (thus gaining a conflict but shortening it to only a day and a half more) or by aiding her with technical tools and cutting the time in half (so down to 4 more days)
And yeah, if anyone other than Arca wants to interact with the computer alerts, please post as such (Arca's busy being a doctor).

Oh, and Shado, Arca also seems to not see as much darkside taint in Syn's methods as he thought he would.

Re: Arc III - OOC
Where do I find this talent so I can read all about it? And is this something that I add to my character sheet?Doctor Who wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 5:19 amHeh! Arca will aid. He's not going to be tempted by the Dark Side to take the quicker path.Doctor Who wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 5:19 amThe Triumph will allow you either speed up Syn's work by aiding her with the Force (thus gaining a conflict but shortening it to only a day and a half more) or by aiding her with technical tools and cutting the time in half (so down to 4 more days)
Pity, because Arca has a 4G pool, which is better than the one that was used in the roll. If Arca could assist the pool would have been 1Y3G.Doctor Who wrote: ↑Mon Jan 25, 2021 5:19 amAnd yeah, if anyone other than Arca wants to interact with the computer alerts, please post as such (Arca's busy being a doctor).

The talent is in Unlimited Power.
OK, so cutting it down to four more days.

Average computer check, and Arca can do this is he want now that he's listening to the conversation, to see if those signs are currently in the room or just assigned to it.

Do the beds (or containers) the patients are in have restraints? We need to prevent these people from wandering off or causing us trouble.

You weren't able to find if there are cameras in the rooms, or at least cameras you can access. So you can't tell if there are things holding them down or not.

Well, without cams someone needs to go look. I'm reminded of that line from TPM: "send a droid".

Re: Arc III - OOC
Trixie has 'Weakness: afraid to confront evil's so she'd be an unlikely character to lead that charge.
