OK, can't get a hold of him, I'll move us forward tomorrow. This sucks. I don't mind people having to drop out, but I wish they'd let me know

That's always been my biggest gripe about running PBEMs: players that just vanish. It's so rude. Takes just a few seconds to post a message saying goodbye and why you're going.

Apologies, work was brutal today and I have to work all day tomorrow, so I'll move us along on Sunday.

Drop Ship looks more plentiful. Odds are it'd be the one we most likely come across first (or closest to the exit, perhaps). I guess it is a matter of whether we act it out (IC) or simply choose a ship or move on. I say, UT-60D Dropship.

Sounds like a good plan to me as well.

Someone want to attempt to persuade them we are doing a test flight? Or maybe getting a flying lesson while waiting for follow on orders?

Arca Gavalun; Tales of the Old Republic; Force power check:
, 3 Dark Side

It would be a really bad idea for Arca to try a Jedi mind trick right now.

However, there are two very alert looking guards at the control center, and they have bulkhead doors to the hangar closed. (flipped a Dark Side point ).
DOH!!! Hadn't considered that!! (Good one, Doc!) Too bad no one here is good at deception!

Actually, Trixie has Influence to a fair extent. I see it is up to her! I may have to take some conflict for this, but for the greater good! She needs to move into short range to use it, which she will do.

What's the difficulty?

Can I get a Boost Die for the others playing along? (i.e. begin boarding the ship as if we already have permission)

If someone wants to use Waz for something, or Lyriss, feel free to do so. They are in fact both here with you and wanting to help. I'm hoping 3B4 does get back to us.

ACTUALLY, Trixie will move to Engaged range (if possible) so as to spare a LS Pip for range!

By my count, neither Waz or Lyriss have deception. I think I'd do better with Influence and two dice + Sense Emotions than one of them rolling three dice.

Big decision. Can take a pilot and then dump him somewhere, or can feign to already have a pilot. Hmmm....

I'll post IC.
What's the difficulty on the Deception?

R/P + 2 setbacks. They're a little suspicious that you're all together.

It didn't go so well!!! The setback dice came up blank and the two boosts from Sense Emotions were pretty useless. I already spent a DP on the roll, so probably not going to be able to spend an additional DP to use the DS Pips. (GM's prerogative.)

I am considering going to Coercion to get this done. It'll be conflict, but it may be the only way! (I tried acting 'nicely'!!) Still, it is good character development. How far will she actually go? ;)

I will allow spending a destiny point to use the Dark Side even if you've spent one already, because it comes with built in consequences (more so than just giving me extra destiny points). This doesn't seem like it will unbalance stuff. At least for now. It is a different situation than normally spending destiny points, since you can't know if you'll even need one till well after the roll, whereas with the other way to spend it (have something happen, roll better, etc.) you have an idea ahead of time of what you might need.

I'll have ideas for the advantages this evening, but I think that could be spent to realize you botched the jump? I'll check after work

Sorry, but you can't do that skill check twice. Think about it. It's not like trying to unstick something that's jammed. You plot a course. You screw up, and you don't know it until after the jump has commenced which by then is too late.

Yeah, I couldn't remember if the advantages would let you catch it. Since I guess not, I'll get something up later tonight
