Probably wait around, stay out of trouble, as Trixie would do. I think I recall a mention of the Republic looking at BioCorp after the recent trouble. From a player perspective, I think I that makes BioCorp not a threat, if I am reading it right. If the GM has another plan, then let me (us) know.Doctor Who wrote: ↑Thu Dec 31, 2020 3:04 amSo the rest of y'all can explore, try to get into BioCorp computers, wait around, or anything else.

Re: Arc III - OOC
BioCorp is owned by Seti.
Seti is the former Padawan of Curvian.
Seti is the one that released the sleeping plague on Galidraan, and did it to Coruscant as well, leading to all other Jedi temples to lock down air and space travel around them.
The Republic originally locked his facility down, but after he came out and said that it was just a Jedi internal dispute, the Republic lessened their crackdown on Seti's company BioCorp, which is why you all are able to access the labs in it right now.

What’s the difficulty to dig in the computers?

The terminals look a little beyond Varc's skill level to him, (Hard to access some stuff, Daunting for full access), and he notes that isn't normal for this type of system (Varc has seen enough computers before to know this security is wacky for a firm that makes food and drugs).
but his talent for skulduggery makes him think he might be able to find a password if he snoops for a bit, people often write stuff down and forget about them.
Better yet, he might potentially find a code cylinder left here in the rush when stuff was shut down. This would probably take him a while, and would require leaving the room.

What would the difficulty be for skulduggery? And what skill and difficulty to snoop around for a code cylinder?

That all be skulduggery.
It would be hard with one boost. If you have any talents that modify your skulduggery let me know.

Re: Arc III - OOC
No modifiers. I can do one of the skullduggery if someone wants to attempt the other one.
I’m thinking of looking for a code cylinder if someone wants to look for a ‘sticky note’ possibly left behind haha.

Re: Arc III - OOC
Looking at the little datapad you were given, Varc can see three nearby locations that might have a code cylinder. A locker room, a laundry room, and several offices. Those same areas could have a password as well, separate checks for each room obviously.
One check for each room. Lemme know which room you want to do, because there are modifiers for each room.
Lemme know the room before rolling as well, because getting into them may involve some RP too.

Re: Arc III - OOC
I think I’ll start with the locker room. Seems like the best bet to start with.

Ok, that gives you an extra boost, but it also will take extra time.
You can roll and then describe how you break into the room/the lockers if you wish. Or you can roll and I can post a little bit and then you can follow up.

Anyone else want to roll or can I move us on with the results of Varc's?

It's gonna be till Sunday before I can get stuff moving, I am pulling extra shifts this week to help train a new guy, so I don't have much free time atm.

He's not the sort to bargain, least of all with a dangerous machine that should be tossed into the nearest sun.you could RP Arca figuring out a way to bargain with her for the information

oooh, nice. Alright, you knocked that out of the park.
That triumph can be used to keep her "helpful" for longer than she otherwise might have been, at least towards Arca, is that fine?

Sure. Perhaps the holocron realizes that Arca isn't bluffing about the threat of being tossed into the nearest sun and wants to make sure that Arca continues to see the value in not doing that.

Yeah, after hearing/reading about the holocron's abominable research Arca's more than a bit pissed off with it. It's the root cause of the problems the party has been dealing with.

Re: Arc III - OOC
IDK, maybe....
* ...all stay here, cure Zyla, then move on?
* Waz and Arca stay here to cure Zyla while the rest search out those infected creatures?
* Another option?
(Trixie is for Waz & Arca (and perhaps another) working this out here while the rest explorer.)

I've never been a fan of splitting a party, so I'll vote for the first option.

So gonna stay holed up for about a week? Ok, I'll do day by day (in universe) posts and we'll see what happens.

I think that sounds good. Just trying to be flexible for the GM by offering to split. Just as well, we'll ride out the treatment and see what happens.Doctor Who wrote: ↑Mon Jan 18, 2021 10:50 pmSo gonna stay holed up for about a week?
