Re: Arc III - OOC
so now that Arca and Varc know some info, what are they gonna do with it?
Give me about 5 minutes after a post, I'll probably edit it a bit before it is finalized.

Re: Arc III - OOC
Nice info to know, but I don't see how it changes the current situation much. None of that info alters how any of the PCs view the holocron, except to distrust it even more. But we really don't have much choice as far as having to rely upon its service to us. We don't have access to sufficient firepower to vaporize the mountain that the sphere and creature are inside of, so the next best thing is to bury them inside. Regardless of whether the holocron likes the idea or not. What it told us wasn't useful at all as far as guiding our decision process, nor did it provide us with an alternative solution. If and when we inform the Council of what we found the Council can then decide if it warrants asking the Republic to send a squadron of Star Destroyers to this planet to finish the job.

We are, after all, rather inexperienced newbies. Time to get this info to someone with some sway. Which place would be, next', BTW. Ossus? Umbara? Coruscant? Dantooine?

Re: Arc III - OOC
You wanted to help fix Zyla, and it was mentioned that Nespis VII/Space City is the closest place with good medical equipment. Coruscant, Ossus, and Dantooine you think are probably locked down if the attack mentioned earlier actually did happen and wasn't just bluster.

Sounds good to me. Nespis VII, if that's good with the others. Perhaps we can get some communication out from there, too.Doctor Who wrote: ↑Fri Oct 30, 2020 1:21 amYou wanted to help fix Zyla, and it was mentioned that Nespis VII/Space City is the closest place with good medical equipment. Sounds like a plan.

So taking holocron with you, as suggested earlier, and collapsing entrances to mountain?
if that's what's happening, I can move us ahead.

Yes, I believe that is what has been agreed upon.

If a Jedi "mind trick" is called for, let me know and Arca will try to persuade the captain.

Ha-Ha!!!! He agrees but there is a mutiny!!! With his dying breath he gives us keys to a shuttle!
But really, whatever you suggest is fine. It is quite a roll. No need to use the DS pips for successes or advantages.

So this is you using the Force to try to influence him, right?
Influence is the whole "hand wave and make them do something"?

Re: Arc III - OOC
Trying to use the force, but not doing so. DS pips can only generate negative emotions. So, I did not (or could not) use the pips to do what I wanted. IMO, I simply made my Charm check.Doctor Who wrote: ↑Fri Nov 06, 2020 4:09 amSo this is you using the Force to try to influence him, right?

The power reads:
"The character may attempt to guide, shape, and even twist the thoughts and feelings of others. ......Only (LS pips) may be used to generate positive emotions such as peace, tranquility, and friendliness."
I simply generate positive emotions to the situation. So to generate "peace, tranquility, and friendliness" would only add to my Charm Check.
The Control power reads:
"When making a Coercion, Charm, Deception, Leadership, or Negotiation check, the Force user may roll an Influence Power check as part of his dice pool. He may spend (L/D pips) to gain (Succ) or (Adv) (user’s choice) on the check."
Narratively, I see it as pleading my case and not having the force to use (Well, only if I wanted to Coerce him).
The other Control power (the one I did not use) is more controlling and reads...
"The Force user may make an opposed Discipline vs. Discipline check combined with an Influence Power check. If the user sends and succeeds on the check, he can force the target to adopt an emotional state or believe something untrue, lasting for 1 round or 5 minutes." ....as in, "these aren't the droids you are looking for. Move along."

Ah, ok, thanks. So you didn't spend the force, ok. I'll get something up tomorrow.

Re: Arc III - OOC
So posting this now so y'all have a chance in character to discuss here/in character:
There are thwo types of ships you could take from the cruiser (ignoring fighters):
One group are the shuttle craft, equivalent in stats to the ILH-KK Citadel-Class Light Freighter. There are 10 of these in the shuttle bay.
Another option are the drop ships, equivalent to the UT-60D U-Wing Troop Transport. There are 20 of these in the hangars.

Jarkyc is with Zyla wherever her unconsciouss form is.
Lyriss is also with Zyla, unless you left her on the planet and kept a sample of the cure with you, I dont think you fully decided that and my bad for not asking about that

Ok, so the whole gang is with you.
If yall wanna see if Jarkyc is willing to help out, it'd be an easy perception check, or a sense (control) check.

Everyone could roll too, this is just to see if your character notices. Everyone could theoretically attempt it once Trixie explains the plan, since its representing your awareness of your surroundings and not necessarily studying him.
