Then it's upgraded for the crit Varc did to it (it's attack is a bite claw combo so I figured that works out fine).

Finally the third upgrade on the attempt tl grab you is for the Despair on the attack that did damage.

Sounds good (but not good!). I almost forgot I had Parry!!

Undo the benefits of a previous maneuver??? Did the creature take a maneuver to Grab or was that an incidental? Otherwise, 1 strain is probably the only viable and easy option.

Maybe it's starting to get caught up in the debris of the trap we set?

He didn't take a maneuver after generating the threat, he moved away from Varc then attacked Trixie. The grab thing was a free thing it does when it connects.

Yeah, that should add a setback to any check you roll for the rest of the fight.

No, I said in the thread that got deleted with my old stuff on Zyla that it's a 50% chance of activation.

It's sort of a quasi downside thing, that relies on rp for the downside, at least the way it is being used in this game. The chances email go down or up depending on choices made
