So you keep those boost dice for the entire first round, not just the first check.
Yes, you could do that as your action to pick out weaknesses.

Re: Arc III - OOC
So you get four specific things of up to a day in advance in your life.
So you want to see if there's a weakness the creature has, anything else?
1 weakness: suppressing the creature's access to the force will upgrade the difficulty of all checks it has to make for 1 round, and then two setbacks rather than a difficulty upgrade for rounds after that as it adjusts. While it doesn't have force powers directly it does exist by feeding off the Force around it.
Once Zyla gets a chance to communicate what she wishes, the next PC slot will be up. Remember you still have a boost to your rolls for the rest of this round.

ok blue sky, if the creature has some special ability it will pull out, like laser vision, or growing in size. Whether or not help is coming? If more beast are coming after this? Did I leave the oven on?

Special ability: Zyla sees that the creature can start to leech the soul out of things it gets a hold of, which can strengthen it
Combat ability: the creature has a jaw that seems to allow (mechanically) a chance to bite and hold in addition to making an attack with its jaws.
The other creatures will not emerge on this floor to fight you in the near future.

Re: Arc III - OOC
Given Zyla's IC post about the beast "accessing the force" and us "severing its connection", I think it is more than rational that Trixie take the first initiative slot and use her Suppress Force Power.

Trixie is in the second slot, since zyla took the first to use the Force.
Also, the monster is gonna take its free maneuver from its Triumph in initiative, then we can go back to normal.

Re: Arc III - OOC
That's fine. Looks like 3 pc's go before it (other than the free maneuver). I'm not even sure the Suppress power will work on it, but it sounds like it might. Worth a shot!Doctor Who wrote: ↑Thu Apr 22, 2021 12:43 pmTrixie is in the second slot, since zyla took the first to use the Force.

I also noticed that I last added (and forgot that I got) Control Suppress to act out-of-turn to Suppress as an Incidental with a Destiny Point Flip. Not that it applies here, but it is worth the reminder to the GM.

It has two actions in the turn order (using the special rules for inquisitors from the FaD book)
It goes after the next PC, and then at the end.

I like those rules. It balances those five-on-one situations without having to slap 8 soak and adversary 3 on every foe. It's a bit "Do for me, but not for thee", but I think it works for the system.

I'll go last. Most everyone else is more useful in combat than I am.

I’m currently at short range?

Re: Arc III - OOC
What’s the difficulty for melee (lightsaber)? Is it just average or does it have any special talents/attributes that make it higher?

average upgraded once for adversary 1 and with 1 setback. I'll add that to the turn order post.

Too bad about the Despair.

Can always de-thaw a new character from a nearby, human-sized cryotube somewhere in this facility.

@ShadoWarrior The badguy needs to act before you go, so that may change your action, just a heads up.

Alright, Im updating stuff, but we're at the top of the round.
You have a disadvantage to spend on the creature, maybe a point of stun damage?
you could also add a setback retroactively on that last roll it made, to attempt to knock out one more advantage?

Also, after this, I believe everyone is supposed to have armored clothing. It looked like Trixie didn't?

That's right, no armored clothing. Defensive Training in the Lightsaber for that +1 Defense.Doctor Who wrote: ↑Thu Apr 29, 2021 3:07 amAlso, after this, I believe everyone is supposed to have armored clothing. It looked like Trixie didn't?
I am not sure why it is Upgraded to Challenge Dice, but maybe I am unaware of something. He Suppress power gives +2 Failures on FP check and Nobody's Fool upgrades incoming social checks, not combat.
If is WAS to be two purple and not two red, then I don't think I should be punished for the wrong dice. 2 Failures, 2 Threats seems okay since it only rolled two successes before cancelling. I think a similar net failure would be had. On the second roll, I could only be spared by double failures on purple dice, which I'd doubt. If it is an error, I say leave it be.
IF things remain 'as is', then Trixie will Parry, suffering 3 strain for 3 less wounds. This keeps her conscience. WT 9/11
