Just FYI, in game terms Pierce 10 and Breach 1 are not actually equivalent. Breach 1 has the same effect as Pierce 10 in that it ignores 10 points of soak. But Breach 1 also ignores 1 point of hull armor. The reverse is not true: Pierce has zero effect on armor. Pierce 10 has no more ability to penetrate a ship's hull than spitting on it.

Mono-edge attachment...
Base Modifiers: Decrease the weapon’s Crit Rating by 1 to a minimum of 1.
Modification Options: 2 Weapon Quality (Pierce +1) Mods.
So this is way better than FFG's basic mono edge. Not saying that to complain, just putting it into perspective.

Yeah.

I know what I need this thing to do, get through 10 pts of soak.

It doesnt deal extra damage ever, because it's a long thin needle. It's just an extremely sharp needle that gets through most armors and material. It's not really intended to be used as a weapon in a fight, but this fight has occurred so I'm using it as one.

So Waz'aru has been pierced in the hand. What is the possibility that he his able to close his hand around the sphere?

That's the one you are holding, you already have a grip on it. Now that you know where the needle is, you can just shift you hand to not hold the part with the needle.

It was in the only place you could have grabbed it from the wall, otherwise that wouldn't have happened.

@ThreeBFour shifting your grip would just be a maneuver, you still have an action. The repulsorlift on this droid isn't strong enough for it to fight you off and escape your grip, so no action needed to grapple/grab/whatever.

He can take a second maneuver (+2 strain) if he hasn't already, to shift his grip, or trade his action for a maneuver. However, shifting your grip arguably should be an incidental maneuver. GM's call, of course.

Shifting in this case is a maneuver because while the thing can't break out, it could still bolt if you try to shift too fast.

If he wants to do it as an incidental it will require an athletics check. Remember there's a needle in his hand, it didn't retract it.

If he fails an Athletics check does he lose his grip or he just can't do it quickly enough to not eat a maneuver? Figured I'd save some time by asking the question for him.

Sorry it's been a busy week again. Thanks@ShadoWarrior for the question asked. @Doctor Who What's the Difficulty for the Athletics check to keep ahold of the little bugger? Also while I'm asking about Athletics checks is Waz stable enough to continue holding on the wall where he climbed up or does he need to roll for that too?

They were right near ground level, so Waz isnt needing to hold on unless he leans further over the pit.

Easy athletics check, 1 setback because of having to avoid the needle and make sure it wont stab you again.

Alright, so advantages.

I'll let you spend all three so that the group of people that wandered off don't hear any commotion and come back, at least for the time being (or you can suggest uses). However, the guy definitely notices you.
