So with Kanila potentially out, I'm definitely looking for more players. May go see if I can advertise on the subreddit, discord, or the ffg forums.
Give me about 5 minutes after a post, I'll probably edit it a bit before it is finalized.

If Kanila is out, then does that mean that Varc is going down the whole to get the blood sample from the purple beast? ;)

Nah, I have a way to keep him as an NPC for a little while just in case Kanila comes back. Not a fan of just killing people off to write them out :P

Got a hit on advertising on the Discord, they seem interested, I gave them the link and told them to talk to me if they're interested.

Kind of hoping I find someone that wants to play one of the homebrew sith races that float around the internet, because a Sith [race] PC is cool (I did this once back during the days when Shado, I and others (don't recall who all were there in the old days) were back on a Saga Edition PbP board.

Sounds cool. My tabletop group and I tend to be on the morbid side. :P

Other games have some openings, too.

Oh, I like having options, and keeping people alive, if at least only incapacitated, gives me mroe options :P

But no one has said anything about preferences on a ship (since I'm having to rewrite that anyways).

In addition, not gonna stop or slow down (if possible) since adding a new character requires being a little further on in the plot.

You and I are the only ones left from those days, my friend. They've all abandoned online gaming due to RL commitments. I'm extremely thankful that you've persevered. @Rider and @DeepSpacer also deserve shout-outs, as while they've not been members of this board (counting the two earlier incarnations of it, all the way back to the freeforums.org version) as long as you and I, they've stuck around. Teknon, one of my players on SE, founded this board, and you (along with a couple of others whose names I don't recall offhand) joined it prior to someone (I forget whether it was you or Teknon) mentioning it to me. So you actually predate me as a member! Teknon made me a co-admin (much as I later did with Rider) and then handed the board off to me when he quit the gaming scene.

So much for a brief stroll down memory lane.

So currently @Illuminotter and @elarsy are wanting to join the game.

Tagging them to say hello, and also let the other three of you know who the new ones are gonna be.

Is there some particular reason why neither of them have posted on this board yet?

Not that I know of, I asked both of them to at least post in the OOC thread.

I was working all day today, and all day tomorrow, and all day monday, on some capstone stuff for my Master's degree. If I respond slowly, or don't say anything till after monday, that is why.

Sorry busy weekend myself so I understand @Doctor Who's time constraints, although I just went to the Renaissance Festival and not doing any major work like Master's Degrees.

Hello to @Illuminotter now and @elarsy when he gets to posting.

Now let's see what Waz'aru can do with a few droids....

I was working today until a bit under two hours ago. And I'll be AFK most of the day tomorrow until the evening as I transport several of my fellow vets to various establishments offering free meals to vets (Denny's, Chili's, TGI Friday's, Applebee's, Little Caesar's, etc.) and other free food offers (Subway 6", Dunkin, 7-Eleven, Krispy Kreme, etc.)

The droids stay inert.

Each seems to have one photoreceptor, a slot that appears to be able to extrude something, and miniscule repulsorlifts to allow them to fly
So......mini, flying Polaroid cameras??? :D :D :D :D
I wonder what for?

Yes, Happy Veterans Day to all! Here Golden Corral is a buffet place that has free vet meals each Vet Day. The buffet is so robust that one meal there is all one needs for a day.

Just waz, no one can really see what is happening.

once Waz does something to bring notice to himself, we'll roll for other PC slots.

Arca and ST and Zyla are doing stuff, and Varc (mine now I guess, lol) is talking with the soldiers and Trixie about what they might to here.

There is initiative.

The droid in hand will go first.

I'll update the initiative tracker once the whole group gets involved.

Breach is a vehicle-scale thing. It's equivalent to Pierce 10. Are you sure that you're using the correct trait?

Lightsabers have Breach 1.

This does too.

That's because lightsabers can cut through blast doors, or almost anything else that's solid matter. This must be the equivalent of a mono-molecular blade, but instead of a single-molecule edge it has a cone (tip/point). But in FFG's system even a mono edge doesn't have Breach, just Pierce.

I can already hear the counter-argument: it's Sith alchemy, it's magic. meh

Ah, ok, it's pierce 10 then.

Same difference, my bad.

I'd just assumed mono-edges had "breach" instead of pierce, like a lightsaber. It doesn't change anything that has happened mechanically at this point. Thanks for that note.
