Friends and Nemeses

Zyla attempts to grabbed them before they can call out . . . but even with the Force guiding her, isn't quick enough

Two scientists at the top of the stairs reeze for a moment.

One of them hits a button on his commlink, "We got intruders in the main hallway! Send security!"

Flustered and not sure what to do, Zyla tries another un-Jedi-like tactic, lying: "What? You can't call security, you're the intruder here! We were sent here to investigate by Lan, and Corporal Selene. We were told this building should be empty. Yet here you are. Explain yourself! "

The two guards stand in awe of Zyla's brazenness.

Trixie extends her lightsaber to one of them and holds her action. Perhaps this will dissuade them from acting?

Zyla tries to look ahead, to see what they will have to deal with when security arrives

Zyla simply sighs and says Well, guards are on their way.

Arca draws his lightsaber and prepares for the now-inevitable conflict.

The guards recoil from Zyla and the others, pulling their blasters out. They look like they haven't had to use them before, and they hesitate to shoot.

One of them stammers to you all, "D-don't move, this is a restricted facility, p-put down your weapons and allow us to d-detain you."

The other starts screaming into his comlink, "Send reinforcements, there're Jedi up here!"

Arca counters, in a calm soothing voice, "You should know that there aren't enough 'reinforcements' on this planet to stop us. You won't be hurt if you put down your weapons. Otherwise I cannot guarantee your safety."

The appears to be listening to Arca.

'They should have listened!!' Trixie thinks to herself. 'They won't run. They won't surrender. They won't just give up. ....and reinforcements are on the way.
Maybe THEY will be more persuadable!'

'Nothing left to do but end the threat.'

Trixie looks down at the blaster in the guard's hand and squints in concentration. She takes the lightsaber she has pointed at him and swings it in a downward arc, trying to sever his blaster pistol in half.

Zyla will follow Trixie's lead and use her lightsaber to try and damage the other guards weapon, making it clear the intent is not to hurt them.

Zyla easily slices the weapon apart, dropping it to the ground. The man still seems a bit stunned.


Further up the stairs and down the hallway, deeper into the facility from you all, you hear some boots pounding on the ground.

The two guards drop their comm and back up quickly against the wall. They seem compliant to Arca's suggestion, and Zyla's attack didn't snap them out of it.


Heading down the hallway, you all see three more guards, these heavily kitted out like the ones you faced back on Galidraan.





They line up and shoot at Trixie (short range).

Varc lets out a yell as he force leaps down the hall to meet them!!

With a mighty swing he tears into them!!

Two of the guards drop dead at Varc's feet.

The remaining guard sees the ease with which Varc took down his compatriots and immediately surrenders.

He drops his gun to the ground. The other two guards from earlier stay standing still. All look at the group, clearly scared.

Arca commands the first set of guards, "You two, your weapons and comlinks on the ground. Now! Then we're all going to have a nice, calm chat."

They comply.

The one standing guard that came in later moves a bit in front of his compatriots, and asks, "Alright, what do you want?" Despite his face being covered, you all can feel him grimace and grit his teeth as he asks.

Trixie looks around at the others briefly and speaks. "These facilities have been handling dangerous things. They've been DOING dangerous things! We are shutting them down in the best interest of this planet, and beyond. As we've been trying to say, we will not be taking "No" for an answer, and it will be best for all here to move along."

The guards look among each other, and the original scared one finally breaks the silence. "You all are Jedi, it doesn't feel right attacking Jedi. Fine. If you want I can help you shut it down, but I can't give you any information and we can't let you see our systems. My wife and kids are going through some experimental gene therapies right now, free of charge, and I don't want to risk that. Make it look good like you smashed it up and locked the computers out if you want, but I can't help more than that."

The man takes you all into a room down the hallway. It opens into rows and rows and cryo pods like the ones you had seen in the hospital earlier, each with a slightly mutated to very mutated creature within.

"Look, we're supposed to keep watch on this. if you want to confiscate this, be my guest, but just make it look like it's not my fault ok."

"And you are ok with all this?" Zyla says to the guards, motioning to the monsters "With all that is happening here, and other sites as well?"
