OOC for GRC
Re: OOC for GRC
For the check about the other racers....
You know all of their species (I'll update the npc page)
And the other racers will have a setback for their first action in the race.

Re: OOC for GRC
Nice, can I do the skullduggery check now to see if there any places likely for traps on the race?
Don’t know why I asked you already said I could and I don’t want to waste time lol.

The track is free of any traps. And by what you can tell they moved any potential hazards from the course as well.

Re: OOC for GRC
That was nice of them
Re: OOC for GRC
Just an fyi the success warrants a single boost die and each additional success would carry it to an additional piloting check. So if you would have had 3 successes your first three piloting checks would have gained a boost.
With the triumph I allowed the finding of a short cut as well as making the boost last the entire race.
The threat was used to make the shortcut a one time use.
Hopefully that will make it a good balance for diligent research. Now that that had been explained what do you guys think? Too over powered or just right?

Re: OOC for GRC
That all sounds fair to me. I might have seen the 3 Successes being 3 boosts to our first three rolls (whatever they were: Piloting, Piloting for the copilot, Astrogation, etc.), but your way works, too. The two-effects on the Triumph are nice, but I would have been happy with just the shortcut. But those are just alternative suggestions. In this system, it's an art rather than a science applying this stuff.

Re: OOC for GRC
Heads up: Packing is done, so I start phase 1 of a cross-country move today. I'll hopefully be able to check in in the evenings, but for the next four or five days, I'll have little availability. If things go for more than a day without me making some roll I need to make, someone please step in. Thanks!

I haven't gotten a chance to see those yet. I'll try to find them and I'll post this weekend. Work had been busy so I apologizefor the delay.

You can always do what seems to be standard practice around where I live, dump the cat in my neighborhood and get a nice new model later. Of course we do have at least one litter every couple of months. Occasionally the SPCA traps, spays/neuters and returns.Boutrose Saba-Norr wrote: ↑Thu Jun 14, 2018 2:38 amno problem, been pretty distracted myself, my wife and i are having a lot of trouble figuring out how to move with my cat
Otherwise I'm thinking of opening a Chinese restaurant
Re: OOC for GRC
I think we maybe check over the ship to make sure everything's in order and to familiarize ourselves with the controls and then fast-forward to the big event. What do y'all think?

Re: OOC for GRC
Sounds good . Runt is probably still hungover or dead in his bunk below the cockpit. Is there a way to tell the difference between an unconscious Jawa and a dead one? I'm pretty sure they smell the same...

Re: OOC for GRC
What kind of roll is needed from Runt to make sure the ship is ready to go?
Re: OOC for GRC
No roll needed. This was just a way to lead in to ensure everyone was present after my long hiatus.
