So Vo’s response to runt is based on the fact that vo knows that the loanshark in question is a woman. I was debating whether or not to say it since there was a chance for some confusion between the characters that could have lead to some amusing situations later but honestly just because I’m telling you guys this ooc doesn’t mean that we can’t still have that confusion ic.

So I think we’re waiting for Sol’s response right now, Vo definitely thinks that this was all something that Sol manipulated them into based on the general demeanor and level of hungoverness of him and Buimo. But Luckily I’m fairly certain that this will be the last of the aggression we see from him for a while, he’s stung by being manipulated and put in this situation since all he wanted to do was drink until he died but he will get over it.

Kanila, minor point of order about the Iakaru: My copy of Dawn of Rebellion finally arrived, and it portrays the species as relatively primitive. Not Ewok level, but they don't have large cities and instead live in nomadic clans in the treetops of their homeworld. It shouldn't matter much for Buimo, but I did write into his backstory that he wonders if the senator of his homeworld was behind his mate's ambush. I kind of like the idea that the Iakaru have (had, depending on when our story takes place) a senator, since this person would be a definite Imperial lackey, put into power simply to give a veneer of legitimacy to the Empire's despoliation of the world as they look for pharmaceuticals. Just wanted to point this out in case any of these folks from Buimo's past surface at some point!

Well I guess I was just waiting for sol to say that he could be the team manager so vo could say, “of course you will be” and then just tell him not to talk to him for a few days.

That way he’d be able to begging the process of accepting things and maybe even apologize later for being so gruff.

Yea, I can’t imagine he would respond much differently, but still I don’t want to deprive his character of the chance to partake in the personality development. This exchange so far has gone a long way in helping me move Vo towards where I want him to be based on his backstory.

Ok then, sometime before then I’ll just make the following post ic,

Vo took Sol’s silence as confirmation of his suspicions and sighed and began holding the cold bottle of ale against his forehead to try to ease his headache. He began heading towards the cockpit, giving him a wide berth as he did, thinking that he might ‘accidentaly’ cause him harm if he got to close, and along the way he said, “look sol, just save whatever explanation your trying to muster, I don’t want to hear you talk for a few days.”

When he reached the cockpit Vo began to check the instruments and flight controls, being sure to familiarize himself with them. “Well no matter how we got into this situation, if Masu expects us to race then we have to race, nothing we can really do about it.”

I’ll hold off until as late tonight as possible in order to give kal the chance to respond.
