Runt couldn't believe it when Tarko brought him the broken droid and said he could repair it. So the droid was now spread out across the ship's lounge as Runt tinkered with it, using his tool kit and goo-gun. Snapping another couple of connectors together he felt something click. "Maybe me can make you into guard for ship and me?" He says quietly to the droid.

After punching in the coordinates for your jump to Eriadu you begin to approach the hyperlane jump point. Shortly before reaching the hyperlane your ship receives an incoming transmission as well as a warning light on your scanners.

"What the—? Belaying the jump to lightspeed. What the devil is this?" Buimo says as he fixes his gaze on the warning indicator.

”That can’t be good. Suppose it has something to do with the transmission?”Tarko asks as he comes up to the cockpit to see the jump out.

After dropping off his gear Tatti walks into the cockpit eating a piece of fruit. He looks around at the blinking indicators. ”Isn’t someone gonna answer that?”

Exiles’ Redemption this is the Axiom, power down and prepare to be boarded. ISB Agent Kescar Ticvan will be boarding shortly for a routine inspection. Acknowledge.”

Upon closer examination of the scanners you can see an additional blip appear, heading for your ship.

"Well, shouldn't be any problems with our cargo. Guess we just got to grin and bear with it. I'll get to the hatch to welcome our guest aboard." Tarko throws over his shoulder already enroute.

Runt continues to work on the droid, parts still spread around the lounge, paying almost no attention to things around him.

The ship echoes with a loud clunk as the shuttle docks with the Exiles’ Redemption. A hiss of pressurized gas is expelled when the airlock finally opens. Standing inside the open airlock is a stout human with a thinning hairline. To both sides of him you can see Imperial Navy Troopers.

”Let’s get this over with. I have a few questions while the ship is being searched for illicit goods.”

With a minor motion of his hand over his shoulder both troopers step through the breach and begin heading for the cargo hold. You can tell that this particular ISB agent doesn’t care for the monotony of his current assignment. He looks at the ‘welcoming party’ waiting to be shown somewhere to sit and answer his questions.

”A pleasant idea Buimo. These beings are on duty so best stick to non-intoxicating drinks.” Tarko gives the officer a smile and waves him into the lounge,”Please feel free to take a seat, oh and mind the droid. Bit of a project of our engineer. We’ll be happy to answer any questions you have.”

Kescar nods and follows the group. The other two have already disappeared from sight to begin their searches.

”One drink won’t hurt. On duty or not alcohol is fine as long as it’s not to excess.”

Kescar takes a seat in the common area, being sure to avoid the droid parts as well as the grease and oil that has coated the area in spots. Pulling out a datapad, the ISB agent looks at the crew.

”Now where are you heading to next? Another race? Or do you do work outside of racing?”
Spoiler:
With the successful Charm check the ISB agent knows who you are and about your recent win. He also appears to be more at ease and less rigid than he first appeared.

Tarko takes a seat across from the agent, leaving it up to Buimo to follow up on his offer of a drink,”Yes, Eriadu is our next port of call where we intend to compete. We are also hauling a cargo to the same destination. A little something to supplement our income.”

He punches up a copy of the manifest for him feeling it’s best to be open with the agent. Less chance of being accused of hiding something,”We also have one passenger aboard also bound for Eriadu.”

Buimo fetches a tray with a few options for the agent: fizzy-glug (jorgan fruit flavor), Corellian brandy, and Socorran whisky. He returns and allows the agent to indicate which he'd prefer.

”I haven’t had a good Corellian Brandy in a while.” He took the offered glass as he looked over the manifest. ”Everything seems to be in order here. Once the inspection team is complete we will be on our way. These inspections can be tedious, but are necessary with all the smuggling happening in and around the Wheel. It’s only a matter of time before they start using race teams as mules. It would be a real shame to tarnish ones reputation over something completely unnecessary like contraband.”

Runt listens with half an ear to the conversation, and poses a question in Jawanese. "What is mules? Is that something new for races?"

"It's a term for a form of smuggling. It means using a third-party to transport illegal goods either with or without their knowledge." Tarko explains to Runt. Turning back to the agent,"One hopes that doesn't become the case. It'd kill the legal sport if no reputable racers are willing to come here."

Vo enter's the common room from the galley access, "Is there any way we can speed this along? We have places we need to be."

finding a spot to fill next to Buimo, Vo silently thinks to himself, Fortunate that I couldn't find anything to smuggle it seems.

The inspection team arrives in the common area and offers Kescar a salute. ”All clear Sir. The ship is clean.”

”Very good. Well you are free to go. Good luck in your next race and be sure to keep your nose clean.”

Without further fanfare, the trio departs the ship. With a clunk the shuttle detaches from your ship and makes its way back to the Axiom.
