Episode II: Mountains of Eriadu

[SavageBob]

Buimo shudders. "Imperials give me the creeps. Let's get out of here." He sets the tray down and heads back toward the cockpit and turns on the intercom. "Course laid for Eriadu. Everyone strap in. Jumping in 5… 4…"

[Spiritbw]

Tarko makes himself comfortable and takes the alcoholic drink the Imperial didn’t drink for himself. The glass the Imperial agent did use he tosses into the disposal unit, glass and all.

”So, think we should do a check to see if they left anything on board?”

[Boutrose Saba-Norr]

Vo takes the bottle off the tray itself on his way to the cockpit to strap in and fly, "They definitely left something on board, after we start the jump you and runt should get looking, see if you can use that new slicing computer to help." and with that he was back through the galley, up the ladder in the back and strapped into his seat in the cockpit, engaging the engines after Buimo laid in the course.

Tarko searches the ship from top to bottom and couldn’t locate anything out of place. Perhaps his hunch was wrong and nothing was placed aboard the ship?

[SavageBob]

"Runt, you want to check the ship's computers? See if we're sensing anything weird aboard?"

[ThreeBFour]

Runt puts down the droid leg he was presently reconnecting at the knee. "What yous means anythings weird on board? Me not knowing." He says as he gets up, rushing to the computer station and quickly enters into the ship's diagnostic systems.

After going through the computer system you notice that nothing is wrong. There has been no tampering with any of the systems on board the Exiles’ Redemption. It would appear all the worry was for nothing.

[SavageBob]

Buimo shrugs. "Guess we're clear. I'm gonna get a nap. Wake me when we reach Eriadu." He heads back toward his quarters.

[Spiritbw]

”Yeah, just a worry like when you forget to lock up. Never hurts to check though. Thanks for checking Runt.” Tarko’talik shrugs and settles in for a quiet trip.

[Boutrose Saba-Norr]

Vo isn't convinced, he's had too much experience with the Imperials to let things go so easily. When he locks in the controls for the trip he goes through the entire ship himself with the eyes of a smuggler.

With the jump underway the crew had several days of down time before they would arrive at Eriadu. The travel was uneventful after there visit from the ISB. Soon they would finish the jump and be close to their destination.

Tarko’talik spends most of the time talking with Tatti, trying to learn more about ships systems and how his experimental thrusters operate. Given that it seems Buimo and Vos have the piloting and navigating covered looks like Tarko is trying to get a basic understanding of how a ship works so he could lend a hand during races.

Exiting the hyperlane, the crew can see the industrial world of Eriadu. Countless freighters and Imperial patrols can be seen in orbit of the planet as well as heading to and from the hyperlanes.

Walking into the cockpit the small passenger gets a look at the slowly approaching planet. ”Pretty much an industrial wasteland, but it’s still a massive trade point because of all the trade routes going through the area. You all been here before?”

“Once. It was a while ago though.”Tarko murmurs with a dark expression. Memories of a failed business flittering across his mind.

[SavageBob]

"Never had the pleasure," Buimo adds, as he turns up the comms in case of incoming transmissions from spaceport control or security.

[Boutrose Saba-Norr]

"This isn't ringing a bell, but I've been many places and don't recall them all."

[ThreeBFour]

"Me never be here either." Runt chimes in from the hatchway. "Maybes we cans asks me new droid. Me's has hims fixed."

[SavageBob]

"Never been here maybe, but now that I think about it, didn't we get drunk one night on the Glitterstar with that guy from Eriadu? Remember him, Vo? Bad breath, earring. He had some stories to tell!"

Vo shuddered, "I remember him, cocky little sith spit with a vest claiming to be some hot kriff smuggler, seemed like the type to have dice hanging from the overhead display, kept drinking up all the good liquor even though he only brought some cheap swill. He made an impression."

[SavageBob]

"Yeah, that's the guy! Ryko Gallath or something like that. Noble type. Said he got into free trading when the Imps showed up and turned all the noble houses on each other. Guy bragged about all the trade that comes through here due to—what was it, four?—a bunch of hyperplanes coming through. Maybe he's on planet. We should look him up."

[kanila]

As the Exiles’ Redemption descends through the planet’s atmosphere you are greeted by a dull orange haze. Eriadu has been heavily industrialized and has permanently changed the planet. Unlike other worlds closer to the Core environmental scrubbers were not utilized to save on cost.

A light flashes on the control panel indicating an incoming transmission.

[SavageBob]

Buimo hits the comm. "Exile's Redemption acknowledging hail. Go ahead. Over."

[kanila]

”Exiles’ Redemption, this is the Eriadu City Control tower. Please state your business here so that I can direct you to the appropriate landing pad.”

[SavageBob]

"Headed for your neighborhood, I think," Buimo replies. "We're here to enter the Galactic Racing Circuit competition. Over."

[kanila]

”Understood. Proceed to landing pad Zulu 34.”
