"Good work Men. I have been informed of your great heroism in defense of Kamino. I hope you have been able to get some rest and relxaction over the last week because I have a new job for you. Count Duku has commissioned the construction of a new droid factory on the planet of Hypori. The completion of this factory will greatly tip the balance of power to the side of the confederacy. Intelligence indicates that the factory can be completed in just a few months, but that the Hypori government will not authorized construction until payment is made in full. We have learned of a covert confederate mission to Hypori escorting payment for the factory. Your mission is to intercept the payment before it reaches the Hypori Government. We have received detailed information on the hyperspace course including waypoints and refueling locations. You may attack in space or on land, the choice is yours." |

Ice nods an acknowledgement from where here is leaning against a bulkhead. Silently he contemplates what the General just told them.
Wook, with his helmet under his arm and hair in a wild, shaggy mess, grins at the prospect of battles to come. "Hey Tens, what do you think? I vote for going for an ambush on the ground, but your the boss."

Doc shudders thinking about a space battle. ”I’d rather keep my feet on the ground.”

Tens replies, "A refueling point may be best. A refueling point with some air cover to prevent and emergency liftoff. What refueling points do we have to choose from? If it is a space station, we may have land and air."ThreeBFour wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2019 1:44 amWook, with his helmet under his arm and hair in a wild, shaggy mess, grins at the prospect of battles to come. Re: Convoy Of Good Fortune
Exact coordinates which will be utilized for refueling are unknown, however, there are known separatist and separatist sympathizing fuel stations throughout the hyperspace lane. Additional information will be requested of intelligence.

Re: Convoy Of Good Fortune
After some discussion the group decided to go for one of the fueling depots along the expected hyperspace route the ship was to take. Sometime during the discussion Ice realized there might be a problem. "Uh, Guys? I think we may have a slight issue. If the intelligence we've been give is correct and the fueling station is either run by the Separatists directly or someone on their side of the fence. From my count, there are five us and only one looks different from the others, although if Wook's hair grows any more.... Ice left the sentence unfinished letting the others think what they will.
Re: Convoy Of Good Fortune
Deciding it prudent to affect their appearance, the clones swamp armor for a civil version provided to them before leaving for their mission. Doc meanwhile changes the hair on their resident alien. The procedure while foreign to Doc was a smashing success and resulted in providing an appearance strikingly similar to a separatist senate member. The clones would not have known this had their ships internal intrusion detection systems not gone off indicating the presence of a know separatist aboard the ship. The procedure was finished just as the ship exits hyperspace at long distance from the orbital refueling station. The presence of numerous vessels within the vicinity shows that, while separatist controlled, the fueling point is used routinely by civilian traffic.
Re: Convoy Of Good Fortune
Approaching the ship normally an automated voice comes over the intercom. "Welcome to space port 9378364010 please specify your ships designation and the purpose of your visit.

Fuse ask the crew with a concerned tone, "What happened? Did we lose the signal? Can someone scan to see who else is here?"

Several minutes pass before the droid comes back over the channels and provides docking instructions and clearance to land.

Wook tugs at the nicer set of clothes he'd been given as part of his new alter ego. "I feel naked without my armor. I really hope this works."

"Ahh well as you are aware, this facility is not strictly under CIS control. It is owned and operated by an affiliated entity, however we provide security for the base. How may I be of service?"

Ice walks down the ship's ramp ahead of Wook, heading towards the station master. Stopping in front of him he removes his helmet, nodding to the humanoid in greeting. "Greetings Master Lunar, I am M'sowni personal bodyguard to Senator Sandum. We are currently on a tour of Separatist Alliance facilities."

Wook looks to Ice, "A-hem,"
"Yes sir," Ice replies with a nod back to Wook. Looking back to the Station Master he continues with the conversation. "Sorry Master Lunar, he can be impatient sometimes. We need to refuel our ship and were also hoping to check your refueling capabilities, including storage, for future use. Personally I think they are planning to send in some of the bigger ship to refuel here."

Re: Convoy Of Good Fortune
"Of course" he nods to one of the droids who seems to make a transmission. "A refueling team in on their way now. I would be happy to show you the ships facilities. Follow me. " The station master moves down the walk way pointing gout the various landing pads equipped with refueling teams of droids. Several smaller ships can be seen to land momentarily before taking off after being refueled in only a few minutes. "Larger vessels are fueled on the two extended towers, top and bottom of the station" He points above to a large tower at the center of the station and then at a similar tower extending downwards. "Primary fuel storage is in the center of the station, but smaller fuel containers are kept at each landing pad to facilitate operations. These are refueled automatically by the ships computer as fuel is consumed. Our fuel supplies are continually replenished by harvesting the nearby nebula. Though difficult to see we have fuel mining ships and remote stations throughout the nebula, Each either connects to or is permanently connected to a resupply rig on the closest border to us. Our station can connect to that rig automatically, when our fuel reserves are low." At this point you have reached the main connection with the space station. He pauses accessing a computer terminal. "A resupply of the main tanks has been scheduled for this evening, if you are still with us that would be a great opportunity to see our station in action. As mentioned that fuel will be taken to the main storage and used to resupply the tanks on each loading pad as necessary. Those tanks are directly used to fuel the larger ships as they require substantially more fuel. That is the basic overview of our operation. We can supply several hundred freighters a day with fuel or upto two capital ships before needing a resupply. Our mining operations can resupply us as quickly as once a day in full operation, but the ships computer coordinates with them to manage mining operations to match demand. Did you have any questions?"

Re: Convoy Of Good Fortune
"Very interesting how it all comes together. Might I ask how does the station connect to the resupply rigs? It seems to me that would require a very long hose." Ice says with a light chuckle.
While Ice was speaking to the Station Master, Wook kept his eye open looking for anything unusual. As the Master accesses the computer terminal, Wook attempts to watch and remember any codes entered.

Re: Convoy Of Good Fortune
That is correct. The resupply lines are connected via space maintenance droids. The lines are disconnected for safe storage when not in use. A similar method is used to connect the fuel storage station with the refueling ships.

"This is a very impressive operation Master Lunar. We look forward to seeing more this evening." Ice compliments the station master, then continues leaning in closer, conspiratorially speaking lower. "I have to get his Honor here back to the ship so he can take his mid-day rest." Ending with a wink.
Re: Convoy Of Good Fortune
"Thank you for your compliments. Please let one of the droids know if you need me. I must return to my duties."
