Wook has been steadily been putting space between himself and the droids. But now he has a quandary, does he continue on or make the turn towards his brothers? As he continues forward he sees a side corridor coming up and knows he needs to decide quickly, but he fells he's forgetting something, 'Wook, you are about as smart as a bantha sometimes,' he says quietly to himself as he remembers.
Using his tongue to flip the helmet-comm, he calls out. "Hey Guys, I'm not sure, but I think I'm running parallel to you, do you want me to attempt to join back up or continue on? Got a corner coming, so decide quickly."

The group quickly reunites on the train platform and jumps on board the first train heading toward their ship. A few minutes later they jump off and rush back to their ship slipping quickly into their seats. As the ship prepares for takeoff you get a mestage from general skywalker. He overheard the droids say that the backup hyperdrive is back online and the ship is preparing to jump. He orders you off the ship saying he has an idea. You move to disembark but the airlock won't disconnect trapping your ship.

Doc scrambles to manually disengage the airlock so that they could escape. For some reason he is struggling more than he should with it.
"How long till they make the jump? I'm running into issues back here!"

Wook groans in pain from the multitude of wounds across his body as he gets back out of his chair, seeing Doc struggle to release the airlock. Gathering what strength his body has left he moves Doc out the way and grabs the emegency release handles on either side of the lock and applies pressure.
With a sudden jerk and loud pop they release at the same time allowing the ship to disengage from the Malevelence.
"Go." he yells into the commlink.
Turning back to Doc he hands him the one handle that broke off in his hand. "Doc, I need a nap," he says quietly as he heads to his seat.

With that the ship is able to easily depart. An incoming barrage of blaster bolts form the malevolence requires some fancy flying before you are able to make it back to safety.

You get three boosts from the six advantages on the check to release the airlock. Those working on it notice something about the blasters giving you time to maneuver before the shooting starts.

I need a piloting check. 1/2 sil and speed. So depending on how fast you want to go the more difficult the check. You start at speed 1 and can increase to speed two. If you continue accelerating to max speed you will be out of the field in two rounds. if you stay at speed two it will take three. At speed one.... you are a sitting duck!

"WaaaHOOOOO!!!!" exclaims BigTen as he quickly accelerates to maximum speed and tries to shoot out of the landing bay. The ship shakes and shimmies as the people board are thrown backwards from the sudden jolt!

The jolt throws big ten out of his seat where he accidentally pulls back on the throttle stopping the ship completely and throwing everyone back forward. His head slams violently into the console, but is protected by his helmet. The sudden impact knocks some sense into the pilot who feels much better prepared for his next attempt.

I recommend another co-pilot check as the previous one only covered this failed check.

Doc scrambled to boost the shields. He really didn't want to be blasted into space dust while they made their escape. But in his panicky he wasn't able to do them any good. "I really need to get better with these systems."

Big Ten attempts to push the ship forward through the blaster fire once again relying on information from his co-pilots. A large blaster bolt obliterates a piece of space junk immediately in front of them and you have no choice but to pilot directly through it. The fine space particles get sucked into the engine cooling system and you hear a loud screech and crank as you engines go offline sending your ship adrift. Remarkably the incoming fire ceases, as the enemy appears to believe your ship has been destroy by the large cloud of debris and now floating husk. A few more minutes pass as you see another ship race away from the Malevolence. Only moments latter the giant beast jumps to hyperspace, its trail leading directly into the nearby star. A massive explosion confirms that suspicious as the malevolence is destroyed in the sun's mass shadow.

The battle appears to have ended though you are stranded floating in space.
